Resumen-- El presente estudio se fijó como meta el demostrar 1. INTRODUCCIÓN


la influencia positiva que tiene el ajedrez sobre varias áreas del
conocimiento en especial sobre las matemáticas. Para lo cual

la Unidad  Educativa  “Hermano  Miguel  De  la  Salle” de la &%1#'#$G"P( &"( &)( QRRSC( *8L.&( 08%8( &"( 2'0&230$#'*C( &"( )8*(
ciudad de Cuenca en febrero del 2012 y se prolongó su práctica "$+8*(F("$+'*(&"(&%'%&*(#82I.&"%$%'*(&"0.&()8*(S(F(TQ('+8*C(
durante aproximadamente 5 meses, demostrando que el 2&.&#&( )'( '0&"#$G"( %&( 08%8*( )8*( '#08.&*( $"@8)1#.'%8*( &"( )'(
ajedrez mejoró el promedio final en la asignatura de &%1#'#$G"( UTV6( B'F( ')/1"'*( $"0&..8/'"0&*( W1&( %&L&"( *&.(
matemáticas de estos niños con respecto a las notas del primer
trimestre, aplicando como prueba de hipótesis el estadístico “T

de Student” con un nivel de confianza del 95%. Los niños que &*#8)'.[((YZ19(')0&."'0$@'*(0$&"&"()8*(')12"8*(I'.'(2&-8.'.(

con las del grupo que no recibieron las clases de ajedrez (20

Abstract--The present study set a goal to demonstrate the :.&"0&( '( &*0'( I.8L)&230$#'C( &*01%$8*( #$&"0ED$#8*( <'"(
positive influence of chess on several areas of knowledge %&28*0.'%8(W1&(&)('-&%.&,(#828(<&..'2$&"0'(&%1#'0$@'(0$&"&(
especially in mathematics.. The game was introduced in a &D$#'#$'(I'.'(&)&@'.(&)(.&"%$2$&"08(&*#8)'.C(*8L.&(08%8(&"(&)(
