Es una novela que narra los recuerdos desde la perspectiva de la juventud de Pancho. Durante las
vacaciones, Pancho y sus primos van a visitar a sus tíos Tacho y Chabela, quienes tienen una casa
en San Miguel. En ese tiempo los tíos olvidan la tristeza que les dejo la muerte de su hijo. Al
terminar las vacaciones todos los sobrino regresan a sus hogares, pero en una ocasión Pancho no
lo hace: abandonado por su madre, y preguntándose ¿por qué todos aquellos a los que amamos
se tienen que ir? , después de mucho tiempo en espera de que regrese su mamá, Pancho se
convierte en el hijo de sus tíos.

My part favorita es cuando la tía Chabela muere y al paso de dos meses Pancho y su tío Tacho
deciden usar un equipo de alpinista para poder escalar y llegar a la cima, usando esto como
metáfora, ya que se sentían muy tristes por la falta que les hacía Chabelita, claro que el equipo se
lo turnaban, lo llevaban puesto en las calles y la gente los miraba raro, pero eso no importaba,
porque era una forma de superar el dolor.

My favorite part is when Aunt Chabela dies and two months later Pancho and his uncle
