Tarea 1: Inicie sesión en CUCM

En esta tarea, verificará que algunos de los servicios que podrían ac varse en CUCM se inicien y

1. Consulte el Laboratorio 1 para obtener instrucciones de acceso a Remote Labs si actualmente no ha

iniciado sesión en el laboratorio.

2. From your assigned desktop, launch Internet Explorer. Browse to the CUCM Console at
h ps://10.1.1.100/ccmadmin (or use the shortcut in the Favorites bar), and log in with username
admin and password Ci5co123!.

Task 2: Examine Creden al Policy

CUCM users are divided into two categories beginning with release 5.0:

End Users: Physical users (i.e., people with phones)

Applica on Users: Administrators and other voice applica ons (IPMA, A endant Console, IPCC
Express, External servers, etc.)

3. Navigate to User Management > User Se ngs > Creden al Policy. Inspect the Default Creden al
Policy.

4. Navigate to User Management > User Se ngs > Creden al Policy Default. Inspect the list of default
creden al policies.

5. Select the End User Password Default Creden al Policy. Change the creden al to Ci5co123! then
click Save. This will be the default end user password.

6. Select Back To Find/List in the Related Links drop-down box and click Go. Select the End User PIN
Creden al Policy. Change the creden al to 12345 and click Save. This will be the default end user
PIN.

7. Navigate to User Management > End User.

8. Click Add New.

9. Use the following table to iden fy what user you will create in following lab steps.

10. Fill out the new end-user fields with the se ngs from the table above. Student 1 is shown as an
example. Click Save when you have completed all the fields.

11. A er saving the user, scroll a li le further down the page to Permissions Informa on Sec on and
select Add to Access Group.

12. When the Find and List Access Control Groups window pops up, click Find.

13. From the list of Access Control Group, select Standard CCM End Users. Scroll to the bo om of the
page and click Add Selected.

14. On the End User Configura on page, click Save. Log out of the CUCM Administra on page in the
upper right corner.

15. Test the login of your newly created end user. This will be janderson for Student 1 and showe for
Student 2. Browse to h ps://10.1.1.100/ucmuser. Student 1 is shown as an example.

16. Explore the available op ons in the Self Care Portal. Note that no phone is assigned to this user at this
me.
