RESUMEN
Ecoeficiencia
Ecobalance
uso
SUMARY
Eco-efficiency
It is defined as providing goods and services at a competitive price,
satisfying human needs and quality of life, while progressively reducing
the environmental impact and the intensity of resource use throughout
the life cycle, to a level compatible with the estimated capacity that the
planet can support. Eco-efficiency is a broader concept that
encompasses, in addition to the latter, activities linked to the
optimization of resources hand in hand with cleaner production. In this
way, Eco-efficiency is positioned as a path for our sustainable
development.
Ecological efficiency objectives
Flowchart
A flowchart is a schematic way of representing ideas and concepts in
relation. It is often used to specify algorithms graphically. Flowcharts
are representative graphics used to outline concepts related to
programming, economics, technical and/or technological processes,
psychology, education and almost any subject of analysis.
Flowcharts are multiple and diverse and can address many different
issues in many different ways. In any case, the common aspect among
them is the presence of a link between the concepts enunciated and an
interrelationship between the ideas. Commonly, this type of diagram is
used to detail the process of an algorithm
Ecobalance
Ecobalance is a structured method for reporting the inward and outward
flows of resources, raw materials, energy, products, by-products and
waste that occur in a particular organization over a certain period of
time
Environmental Impact
Environmental impact is a change or alteration in the environment,
being a cause or effect due to human activity and intervention. This
impact can be positive or negative, the negative represents a break in
the ecological balance, causing serious damage to the environment, as
well as to the health of people and other living beings. For example,
pollution of the air or the seas with garbage or oil, noise pollution, war,
radioactive energy waste, among others.
Sustainability
To meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of
future generations to meet theirs, ensuring a balance between economic
growth, environmental care and social welfare (this is known as the
Triple Bottom Line of Sustainability)
Indicators
They can be described as "physical, chemical, biological or socio-
economic measures that best represent the key elements of an
ecosystem or environmental issue". Another definition of an indicator
could be "a direct or indirect measure of environmental quality that can
be used to assess the state and trends in the capacity of the
environment to support human and ecological health".
inancial appraisal
Environmental Economic Valuation consists of expressing in money the
social welfare gains produced by the protection of the environment or
the losses generated by its deterioration. Thus, the EVA allows for
additional technical criteria for decision making related to the
implementation of environmental policy by the country's environmental
authorities. Additionally, the generation of this type of information
strengthens the processes aimed at determining the environmental
viability of policies, plans, programs and projects.
green businesses
These are commercial activities that seek to contribute to the care of the
environment and nature, as well as to generate profits. These
businesses were born with the idea of having a more sustainable world,
that is, one in which resources can be used in a rational and efficient
manner without compromising the quality of life of future generations.
production
production is the activity that adds value by creating and supplying
goods and services, that is, it consists of creating products or services
and, at the same time, creating value, also by production in a broad
sense, we understand the incorporation of new utilities to things, that is,
not only the generation of product with qualities different from its origin,
but simple modifications to its natural structure of the factor that gives
it a new use
