Dear Family, as we are in a particular situation, I want to share with you some tips
you can use during these weeks to help your kid keep in touch with the language
and some of the objectives he/she needs to learn. You can do it in a fun way by
sharing family time together and at the same time learning English.

Querida familia, ya que estamos en una situación particular, quiero compartir con ustedes
algunas recomendaciones que pueden utilizar durante estas semanas para ayudar a que su hijo
siga en contacto con el inglés y pueda seguir aprendiendo los objetivos que venimos
trabajando. Todo esto lo pueden realizar en familia compartiendo en su casa y al mismo tiempo
aprendiendo inglés de manera divertida.

and stories you can listen and share together.
Visiten canales como los que encontrarán en los enlaces. Allí puede encontrar canciones,
juegos e historias que pueden escuchar y compartir juntos.
 If you will watch a movie together you can do it in English. Also if you kid is
going to watch few hours of TV, you can change the language to English
occasionally, so he/she keeps developing his/her ear with the language.
Si van a disfrutar de una película, pueden escucharla en inglés. Si también su hijo verá por
algún tiempo televisión, pueden cambiar el idioma a inglés ocasionalmente. De esta manera
seguirá desarrollando su oído con el idioma.
 If some of the parents talks English, you can say your kid short commands like
o “Let’s play”, “let’s go to the bathroom”, “let’s count”, “let’s dance and
sing”, “let’s eat”, among others.
Si alguno de los padres habla el idioma o tiene conocimientos básicos, puede dirigirse a su
hijo, en algunas ocasiones, con comandos cortos en inglés como los que se encuentran
anteriormente.
 You can count the numbers while jumping from one room to the other.
Pueden contar los números saltando de una habitación a otra.
 You can play to find different objects like a ball, his/her favorite toy, doll, car,
among others and when you find it say it in English.
Pueden jugar a encontrar objetos (juguetes, ropa, etc.) y mientras lo buscan, y al
encontrarlo, decirlo en inglés.
 You can look to your family album and say the members of the family in English.
Pueden ver el álbum familiar y nombrar a los que aparezcan como mama, papa, niño,
abuela, etc. en inglés.
 You can play to dressing up with different clothes and name them in English
(hat, shirt, short, pants, shoes, socks, jacket, scarf, among others)
Pueden jugar a vestirse “disfrazarse” con diferentes prendas y nombrarlas en inglés
 You can draw a picture and while you are using the colors name them in English.
Pueden colorear y realizar dibujos, y al hacerlo, nombrar en inglés los colores que van
utilizando.
 Play with him to touch different parts of his/her body and name it in English (for
example when you are taking a bath)
Pueden jugar a tocar distintas partes del cuerpo por ejemplo, a la hora del baño, al
enjuagar las diferentes partes, decirlas y repetirlas en inglés.
 You can listen to the songs we use in our classroom in YouTube. Here I share
with you a helpful list.
