TOUR 2. SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

The Sacred Valley is crossed by the Urubamba River, north of Cusco, and in it you can find spectacular
Andean landscapes full of fauna and flora. Among the places we will visit are the camelid shelter of
Awanakancha, the village of Pisac and the ancient Inca ruins of Ollanta y tambo.

It travels from Cusco to the Sacred Valley, excavated in the foothills of the Andes by the Urubamba
River over thousands of years. When you arrive at the shelter of Awanakancha you will meet the loving
camelids, a family of animals that includes llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, all native to this part of the
world. Discover everything you want to know about these gentle and curious domesticated animals, as
well as their multiple uses for humans, especially their wool, which is the basis of numerous traditional
garments in Peru.

We will continue our journey towards the picturesque village of Pisac, located on the banks of the
Urubamba River. Here you will have the opportunity to bargain with vendors at the local craft market
and you will see the fruits of alpaca wool and llama. It was in Pisac where, according to an Inca legend,
a princess turned to stone.

Then you can enjoy a rich meal in a pleasant rural inn before visiting the ruins of the Inca fortress of
Ollanta y tambo, at the foot of the mountain. This fortress was built by the Inca emperor Pachacuti (who
also built Machu Picchu) shortly before the Spanish conquered the empire.

TOUR 3. CITY TOUR CUSCO Y SITIOS ARQUEOLOGICOS CERCANOS

Description:

Discover the richness of the Inca Empire with this fascinating and interesting evening excursion to the
main points of interest of Cusco and to the ancient Inca ruins located on the outskirts of the city. Admire
the convent of Santo Domingo and the Coricancha, the Sacsa y huaman and the Plaza de Armas in
Cusco, in addition to the ruins of Kenko and Tambomachay, ancient centers of rituals located on the
outskirts. This five-hour tour allows you to discover how great the Inca capital was and how much was
lost when it was conquered.

We will walk up the hill until we reach the mega fortress of Sacsa and huaman, which was built with
huge polished rocks and whose objective was to protect the entrance to the city. We will continue to
the ruins of Kenko, a place of great ritual importance where sacrifices are believed to have been made,
in addition to Tambomachay, where water was worshipped as a sacred element. Then we will return to
Cusco for a short stop in the impressive Plaza de Armas, dominated by the imposing Gothic-
Renaissance cathedral. The cathedral was also built on the foundations of an Inca temple, although
today it is famous throughout Peru for the richness of its paintings of religious scenes of the Cusqueña
School, made by Quechua natives in the seventeenth century.

TOUR 4. CENA CON ESPECTÁCULO Y TRASLADOS

Description:

Discover the Andean culture with this folk show accompanied by a buffet dinner with popular local
specialties and international dishes. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditional
Peruvian way of life, watching closely its dances, music, costumes and customs. Come and enjoy a
night full of rhythm and color in an unforgettable setting.

Let yourself be seduced by the magic of the music of the Andean zampoñas and by the dancers with
their traditional costumes more colorful than the rainbow itself, all while enjoying the best food you can
find on this side of the Andes. Admire the passion of the dancers while they show you the traditional
Quechua dances. These dances are the embodiment of the journey of a civilization: it went from being
a powerful empire to being conquered in a matter of years and then suffering for centuries a colonial
government, before gaining its independence. Their music is one of the most powerful signs of identity
they possess, as you can see on this magical night in one of the best entertainment centers in Cusco.

The restaurant has been tastefully decorated with beautiful Andean fabrics, creating an excellent
atmosphere and a feeling of great expectation. The dishes offered at the buffet change according to
the season, but among the numerous Peruvian specialties you can find are peppermint potatoes, tacu
tacu (fried rice with beans) and butifarra (bread stuffed with ham), plus trout ceviche and alpaca
carpaccio. The desserts are delicious and being in Peru it is almost mandatory to have a pisco sour
(the national cocktail made with pisco, lime or lemon juice, syrup and egg white).
