What is most important for our considerations here is the fact that the individual no only
takes on the roles and attitudes of others, but in the same process takes on their world.
Indeed, indetity is objetively defined as location in a certain world and can be
subjetively appropiated only along with that world. Put differently, all identificacions
take place within horizons that imply a specfic social world. (AÑO??? p.152).
The categories ussed to apprehend the world, especially the social world, do not reside
within the objects of perception. There is no innate, divinely given or natural set of
cateogiries to be used in perceving the world, waiting there for social psycologists to
discover, if only they try hard enough with the rigth methods. The categories which
form the basis of our perceptual graps of the world around us are imposed by us upon
the world. They are construals (p.107).

topicis generally found as one of the elements in Amazonian curanderismo and
associated with ayahuasca rituals” (p.17).
Buston, b)“secondarly, some studies relate the healing potential of the icaros to
psychosocial factors, and lastly, to some musical features that might play a role
on healing, particularly under the effects of ayahuasca” (P.17).
“The ícaro (also spelled ikaro) is
a well-know attribute of Peruvian culture, and is integral to the cosmovision and
work of traditional Amazonian healers, known as curanderos/as” (Samantha,
1995, Blackp.6).
