SEGUNDA PRACTICA: GROUP PROJECT

Se deberá cumplir con los lineamientos presentados en nuestro sistema de evaluación:

Práctica 2: Group  Segunda práctica que busca evaluar la habilidad de los


project alumnos para producir el idioma extranjero de manera
comunicativa en un juego de roles que emula una
situación real y relevante.
 Los docentes elegirán el proyecto de una lista que se
les brindará
 La evaluación tendrá en consideración los siguientes
criterios: Preparación, Cumplimiento de los
lineamientos establecidos, Uso de idioma, Trabajo en
equipo
 Considerando los 4 criterios establecidos, cada uno de
ellos será evaluado en una escala de 1 a 5 en la que
1=Inexistente, 2=Mínimo, 3=Bueno, 4=Muy bueno, 5=
Sobresaliente

Información importante:

 El número de integrantes de cada grupo sugerido es de 4 a 6 integrantes quienes


deberán participar de manera equitativa en los tiempos de diálogo.
 Los criterios de evaluación se mencionan en el cuadro anterior.
 Recordemos que el entusiasmo y seriedad que pongamos al proyecto tendrá una
influencia directa en los resultados que obtendremos.

Temas sugeridos:

A continuación presentamos las propuestas de temas para cada curso:

INGLÉS 1:

1. Setting: First day at work.

Specific details for the dialog: A new worker is starting his first day at work. People in the
group introduce themselves, say what they do, say where things are, ask about locations in
a building, give their phone number and talk about their families.
2. Setting: At a supermarket

Specific details for the dialog: A customer is at the checkout line ready to pay. People in
the group say how they feel, describe people, identify US currency, read prices, pay the
cashier, say there is a mistake, and read a receipt.

3. Setting: At a supermarket

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation takes place between an employee and a
supervisor. People in the group say goodbye, read traffic signs, ask for help, read a
supermarket flyer, express likes and dislikes, read and say the time, and ask permission to
leave work early

4. Setting: At a supermarket or other kind of store

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between an employee and
customers. People in the group ask for something in a store, identify parts of the body,
follow two-step instructions, talk about a favorite recipe, say days of the week, and read a
work schedule.

5. Setting: At home/ office

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between friends or relatives and
a medical assistant. People in the group talk about the weather, say how they feel, identify
months of the year, say and write dates, make a medical appointment, and read an
appointment card.

INGLÉS 2:

1. Setting: At a doctor´s office

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between a doctor and patients.
People in the group change an appointment, sign in at a medical office, follow medical
instructions, talk about their symptoms, give and follow advice, and read medicine labels
and dosage.
2. Setting: At home / workplace

Specific details for the dialog: One friend is planning to move to another apartment or
house. People in the group call about an apartment for rent, give an address, read
apartment ads, talk about moving to a new apartment, give directions and read a map.

3. Setting: At the workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation takes place at home or at the office.
People in the group call in late to work, talk about their abilities, talk about their weekends,
identify places in the community, read a bus schedule, and ask for and give prices.

4. Setting: At home / workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between two friends /
coworkers. People in the group talk about good and bad news, report a housing problem,
talk about forms at work, read a pay stub, complete an emergency contact form, and call
911 to report an emergency.

5. Setting: At a department store

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between friends / coworkers.
People in the group talk about clothing, read clothing sizes, return something to the store,
say why they are returning something, order from a menu, and accept an invitation.

INGLÉS 3:

1. Setting: At a workplace or home

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between friends / coworkers.
People in the group talk about their families, understand US school systems, talk about
children´s schools, ask about items on a list, make and answer requests, give directions in a
building, and think about their job needs.

2. Setting: At home / at a hotel

Specific details for the dialog: A person faces a maintenance problem in his/her housing or
accommodation situation. People in the group report a maintenance problem, talk about
their needs, ask for and give change, talk about their likes and dislikes, identify a person,
and describe people.
3. Setting: At the workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation takes place between friends or relatives.
People in the group talk about their weekend, give and follow directions, talk about places
to live, call about an apartment, and leave telephone messages.

4. Setting: At home / workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between two friends/coworkers
with previous traveling experience. People in the group talk about their weekends, ask
about immunizations, schedule an appointment, talk about places to shop, talk about
prices, ask about bus travel, and talk about bus destinations and street names.

5. Setting: At a workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens at an office. People in the group
take care of an emergency, report a problem, talk about work schedules, report work
progress, and order food from a restaurant.

INGLÉS 4:

1. Setting: At a workplace/ hospital

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation happens between friends / coworkers.
People in the group talk about their life, talk about their education, call 911 to report an
accident, talk about someone’s injuries, read a hospital directory.

2. Setting: At a workplace.

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation revolves around health and sickness issues.
People in the group call to make a doctor’s appointment, sign in for an appointment,
complete a medical history form, read medicine labels, call in late, give information to a
coworker, and talk about changes at work.
3. Setting: At home/ workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation talks about finding a new place to live.
People in the group talk about apartment features, fill out a rental application, talk about
moving, read a utility bill, talk about signing a lease, ask for advice, and go to a job interview.

4. Setting: At home / workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation revolves around eating clean and working
out. People in the group talk abot food shopping, talk about food and ingredients, follow
package directions, read a supermarket flyer, read food safety labels, talk about exercise,
ask for permission to leave early, and go on a job interview.

5. Setting: At a workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation deals with topics of transportation.
People in the group talk about safety plans, public transportation, driving, read a train
schedule online, read a map and traffic signs, share good news, and accept a job offer.

INGLÉS 5:

1. Setting: At a workplace/ hospital

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation revolves around daily activities in a
workplace context. People in the group make small talk, ask to leave work early, read
medicine labels, and ask to borrow something.

2. Setting: At a workplace.

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation revolves around tasks in a workplace.
People in the group call in late, ask for help, read a street map, and give directions.
3. Setting: At home/ workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation deals with topics related to safety. People
in the group talk about things they used to do, talk about workplace safety, report an
accident, and ask for and give clarification.

4. Setting: At home / workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation revolves around the perfect job and plans
about it. People in the group talk about a job they want, their work history, read a pay stub,
and offer to help someone.

5. Setting: At a workplace

Specific details for the dialog: The conversation deals with topics of exercise and
apartment rental. People in the group talk about exercise habits, ask for and give advice,
read an apartment rental ad, and ask about an apartment for rent.
