-Un joven entró y disparó indiscriminadamente contra la comunidad educativa, para luego huir de la escuela. El cuerpo táctico
de la policía lo pudo identificar y detener a un km y medio del lugar. Cuando los uniformados le gritaron que se tirara al suelo,
el joven lo hizo sin ofrecer resistencia.

-El ataque se produjo en el Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, donde asisten alrededor de 3.100 alumnos. Parkland,
donde se encuentra el colegio , es una ciudad de 30.000 habitantes en las afueras de Boca Ratón, a unos 60 km de Miami.

-Los disparos, comenzaron poco antes de las 3 pm , aterrorizaron a los alumnos y docentes. Algunos se desesperaron y
salieron corriendo del colegio, mientras otros se escondieron en donde pudieron: aulas, laboratorios, armarios y hasta debajo
de los escritorios.

-A los pocos minutos , la policia recibio el mensaje , lo cual se puso en alerta ante el incidente logrando parar a la persona
causante del tiroteo .

El atacante fue identificado por fuentes policiales como Nikolaus Cruz, un ex alumno del colegio de 19 años. Jim Gard,
profesor de matemáticas que lo tuvo entre sus estudiantes, contó que era un joven conflictivo. “Hubo problemas con él el año
pasado, amenazó a otros estudiantes y creo que le pidieron que se marchara del recinto”.

El incidente dejo 17 muertos y 15 heridos. Después de momentos de fuerte tensión y angustia de los familiares de los
alumnos, la policía confirmó que había detenido al agresor, un ex estudiante que descargó su ira contra estudiantes y
