Resumen
El mdico general debe enfrentarse constantemente a los retos impuestos
por su profesin, donde debe realizar de manera efectiva las intervenciones
necesarias para los pacientes. Muchas de estas intervenciones requiren el
uso de los conocimientos tericos como de las habilidades psicomotoras y no
tcnicas desarrolladas a lo largo de su formacin profesional. Debido a las
caracteristicas particulares de la va area del paciente, el escenario clinico
en el cual se debe realizar el procedimiento y las habilidades limitadas del
profesional, el manejo de la va area en el paciente en urgencias
(traumatizado) representa un gran reto para los mdicos.
Palabras clave: trauma, atencin primaria, aprendizaje, complicaciones
(DeCS).
Abstract
The general practitioners must constantly face challenges imposed by their
profession, they must efectively perform the needed interventions for the
patient. Many of these interventions need the proper use of theorical
knowledge, as well as the nontechnical and psychomotor skills developed
throughout the proffesional formation. Due to the particular characteristics
of the patient's airway, the clinical setting in which procedure takes place
and the limited abilities and skills of the proffesional, management of the
