Channel Type:
Proximity probe input, shaft vibration output
Proximity probe input, shaft position output
Proximity probe input, differential expansion output
Proximity probe input, eccentricity output
Proximity probe input, low frequency vibration output
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output

Transducer Type:
PT2060/10 Module can work with any proximity probes.

14
Channel Enabled:
Mark it to enable this channel to work. If you want to use this channel, you must check this check box.

Alarm Latching:
Mark it to set channel alarm latching. If you mark this check box, PT2060/10 Module will retain the alarm
status even the alarm condition has gone away. This latching mode helps you know whether the alert
set-point was exceeded since the last rack reset. You can reset all latched alarms in the PT2060 Rack by
selecting Rack Reset command from Rack menu as well as pressing the reset button on the front panel of
SIM Module on the PT2060 Rack.

Transducer Sensitivity:
The value depends on transducer type. It is typically expressed as millivolt per measure unit.

Alert Time Delay, Danger Time Delay:
It means how long the module will delay before changing into alarm status after having detected that the
real-time value exceeded the alarm set-point. Alarm Time Delay should be set with an integer from 1s to 60s.
Danger Time Delay also should be set with an integer from 1s to 60s if it isnt set to 100ms.
The two time delays only apply to the following types of channel:
Proximity probe input, shaft vibration output
Proximity probe input, shaft position output
Proximity probe input, differential expansion output
Proximity probe input, eccentricity output
Proximity probe input, low frequency vibration output

Teeth Per Cycle:
The teeth number on the gear i.e. the integer number of input pulses per shaft revolution. The Events per
Revolution could be description as a value between 1 and 255 with four decimals. User could set it according
to the actual value in the field. For example, if there are 24 teeth on the gear, teeth per cycle can be set to
23.9998 to adjust the rotative speed slightly. For Proximity probe input, Speed output channel and Zero
speed output channel, the default value is 1. And for Reverse rotation speed output channel, the default is
60.
It works only when channel type is set as following:
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output
NOTE: Teeth per cycle could be accurate to four decimal places only when the firmware versions of 10
Module and PT2060 Rack are 406 or later.

Zero Position (Gap):

15
The transducer voltage corresponding to the nominal DC shaft position. The default value for shaft position
output channel is -10V and for differential expansion channel is -6V.
User can manually change the value or directly click Adjust button to let the system get it automatically.
Before this operation, make sure your computer and the PT2060 Rack are connected, and the configuration in
rack must match the configuration in PT2060-CFG software. Moreover, the connected transducer must be
placed to proper position, otherwise this obtained value may be wrong. It applies to the following two types of
channel:
Proximity probe input, shaft position output
Proximity probe input, differential expansion output

Hysteresis Voltage:
The voltage level above and below the threshold value which is required to trigger the input signal from the
transducer. The larger the hysteresis, the greater the immunity to noise on the input signal. When the input
signal passes the threshold voltage plus 1/2 of the Hysteresis voltage, the signal goes high. When the input
signal returns to the threshold voltage minus 1/2 of the Hysteresis voltage, the signal goes low. The default
value is 1V. User could modify it within the range from 0.5V to 2.5V.
This feature applies to the following speed channels:
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output

Trigger Voltage (Gap):
The Trigger Value is the nominal voltage about which the Hysteresis is centered. The default value is -10V.
When Manual Threshold Type is selected, user should manually set this value or directly click Adjust button
to let the system get it automatically. Before this operation, make sure your computer and the PT2060 Rack
are connected, and the configuration in rack must match the configuration in PT2060-CFG software.
Moreover, the connected transducer must be placed to proper position, otherwise this obtained value may be
wrong.
This feature applies to the following speed channels:
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output

Threshold Type:
The voltage level of the input signal from the transducer where triggering occurs (if the Hysteresis is 0). The
threshold options are Auto and Manual.
Auto: The trigger threshold is automatically set to a value that is midway between the most positive peak and
the most negative peak of the input signal. This value tracks any changes in the input signal. Auto threshold
requires a minimum signal amplitude of 1V peak to peak and a minimum frequency of 0.0167Hz.

ProvibTech Phone: +1-713-830-7601 Fax: +1-281-754-4972 sales@provibtech.com , www.provibtech.com
16
Manual: The trigger threshold is set by the user to any value in the range of -17V to -3V. Manual threshold
requires a minimum signal amplitude of 0.5V peak to peak.
It only applies to following speed channels:
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output

Full Scale High/Low, Danger High/Low, Alert High/Low, GAP High/Low:
1. The ranges of Full Scale Low and Full Scale High depend on the type of channel and transducer.
2. User should set the alarm set-points between the full scale low and full scale high. And the relevant
set-points of Alert must be set between Danger High and Danger Low, because Alert level is lower than
Danger level.
3. GAP range is set to detect whether the voltage between the transducer and rotor is in normal range.

Measurement Type:
It depends on channel type. See table below:
Channel Type Measurement Type
Proximity probe input, shaft vibration output PK-PK
Proximity probe input, shaft position output AVERAGE
Proximity probe input, different expansion output AVERAGE
Proximity probe input, eccentricity output PK-PK
Proximity probe input, low frequency vibration output PK-PK
Proximity probe input, Speed output NA
Zero speed output NA
Reverse rotational speed output NA

Measurement Unit:
It depends on channel type and system unit. For example, if the current channel type is Proximity probe input,
shaft position output channel and the system unit is Metric Unit, the available measurement unit is mm and
um.

Alert Type:
PT2060/10 Module supports two types of alarm: Alert and Gap. Alert means that PT2060/10 Module will
output alarm when the real time value exceeds alert set-point. Gap means that PT2060/10 Module will output
alarm when the gap voltage is above GAP High limit or below GAP Low limit. The default is Alert.

1. When alert type is Alert, the Alarm Trip-Multiply function works for both alert and danger alarm; when the
alert type is GAP, it works only for danger alarm.
2. When transducer type is magnetic pickup, GAP alert type is disabled.

Primary PR:
A voltage pulse for each turn of the shaft is called the Phase signal. This signal is used to measure shaft
rotative speed and serves as a reference for measuring vibration phase lag angle. It is an essential element in
measuring rotor slow roll bow or run out information. User will determine whether to correlate the real-time
value with the phase reference and with which one, phase reference 1 or 2. The default setting is NA. This
phase reference will be specified as the main phase signal when redundant phase reference is used. It works
only for following types of channel:
Proximity probe input, shaft vibration output
Proximity probe input, eccentricity output
Proximity probe input, low frequency vibration output

Backup PR:
Backup PR is the spare phase signal for the system. The item can be set to NA or with Phase Reference 1 or
2. Primary PR and Backup PR constitute redundant phase reference where Primary PR is used as the main
phase reference signal and Backup PR is used as the secondary phase signal. Primary PR will be firstly
chosen if it is valid. When the Primary PR is lost or in NOT OK status, the Backup PR will be used.
NOTES:
1. Backup PR function is enabled only when the firmware version of 10 Module is 406 or later.
2. If the Primary PR is set to NA, the Backup PR is disabled.

Transducer Direction:
Define the normal direction as movement "toward" the transducer or "away from" the transducer. If the normal
movement of the machine rotor is toward the transducer then "Toward Probe" should be selected. Otherwise,
select "Away from Probe".
This feature applies to the following two types of channel:
proximity probe input, shaft position output
proximity probe input, differential expansion output

Leading Transducer:
Select the channel that is taken as criterion. It works only when the channel type is set to Reverse rotation
speed output.
When the Leading Transducer is set to channel 1 and the signal of channel 2 lags the signal of channel1, it is
named forward rotation; otherwise it is named reverse rotation. When the Leading Transducer is set to
channel 2 and the signal of channel 1 lags the signal of channel 2, it is named forward rotation; otherwise it is
named reverse rotation.

Rotative Speed Alarm Type:
Set alarm level for channel that measured rotative speed.
For Proximity probe input, Speed output and Reverse rotation speed output channel type, two
available options are Over, Over and Under. If choose Over, you should set the Danger High and Alert
High set-points. Under this condition, alarm occurs when rotative speed is higher than or equal to (alert or
danger) set-point high; if choose Over and Under, you should set the High and Low set-points. And
alarm occurs when rotative speed is higher than or equal to the High set-point, or less than or equal to
the Low set-point.
For Zero speed output channel type, options are different when you set the different channels.
For the first channel, two available options are Under, Over and Under. If choose Under, you
should set the Alert Low and Danger Low set-points. Under this condition, alarm occurs when
rotative speed is lower than or equal to (alert or danger) set-point low; if choose Over and Under,
you should set the High and Low set-points.
For the second channel, two available options are Over, Over and Under. If choose Over, you
should set the Danger High and Alert High set-points; if choose Over and Under, you should set the
High and Low set-points.
NOTE: This function is enabled only when the firmware version of 10 Module is 406 or later.

Signal Polarity:
Select polarity for phase reference signal.
Notch: An output pulse is produced that is triggered by the leading edge of a negative-going pulse of the input
signal. This type of pulse is produced by a phase reference transducer looking at a notch in the shaft. If a
magnetic pickup is used, set the Notch/Projection setting to Notch since in most cases the positive side of the
signal that is over 10V will be clipped.
Projection: An output pulse is produced that is triggered by the leading edge of a positive-going pulse of the
input signal. This type of pulse is produced by a phase reference transducer looking at a projection on the
shaft.
The feature only applies to the following three speed channels:
Proximity probe input, Speed output
Zero speed output
Reverse rotation speed output
NOTE: This function is enabled only when the firmware version of 10 Module is 406 or later.

Copy (button):
PT2060/10 Module has four channels. Channel 1 and channel 2 are designed to a pair. And channel 3 and
channel 4 are designed to a pair as well. For the paired channels, they should have the same channel type.
Basically, most parameters of the paired channels should be set the same. For example, if you finished
settings on channel 1, and when you switch to channel 2, Channel Type of channel 2 is set already and cant

2. Alarm multiply and alarm bypass
PT2060/10 Module supports alarm multiply function (only applies to Proximity probe input, shaft vibration
output channel and Proximity probe input, low frequency vibration output channel) and alarm bypass
function. Click Signal Module Control command from Rack menu. See picture below:

Alarm multiply: Increase the alarm value two times or three times as many as what you set in Alarm
Set-Point. If select double multiply, alarm occurs after real-time value reaches two times higher than or equal
to alarm set-point value; if select triple multiply, alarm occurs after real-time value reaches three times higher
than or equal to alarm set-point value. The default status is inactive.
NOTE: When alert type is Alert, this function works for both alert and danger alarm; when the alert type is
GAP, it works only for danger alarm.
Alarm bypass: Inhibit both Danger alarm and Alert alarm. The default status is inactive. Bypass has a higher
privilege than Alarm Latching.

3. TMR (Triple Modular Redundant)
Three PT2060/10 Modules and one PT2060/43 Module constitute a TMR system.
In this system, PT2060/43 Relay Module processes alarm signals coming from the three PT2060/10 Modules
according to the assigned logic. Each PT2060/10 Module in this system works independently and acts the
same as in non-redundant system.
A 19 Standard Rack can have maximum three TMR systems mounted in slot 1-4, 5-8, 9-12. And PT2060/43
Module should be installed on slot 4, slot 8, and slot 12. See picture below:

information, please refer to PT2060/20 SEIS Seismic Module User Manual.

Transducer Type:
PT2060/20 Module works with any seismic sensors.

Channel Enabled:
Mark it to enable this channel to work. If you want to use this channel, you must mark this check box.

Alarm Latching:
Check it to set channel alarm latching. PT2060/20 Module will retain the alarm status even the alarm condition
has gone away. This latching mode helps you know whether the alert set-point was exceeded since the last
rack reset. You can reset all latched alarms in the PT2060 Rack by selecting Rack Reset command from
Rack menu as well as pressing the reset button on the front panel of SIM Module on the PT2060 Rack.

Zero Position (Gap):
The transducer voltage corresponding to the nominal DC shaft position. The default value is 0V. User can
manually change the value or directly click Adjust button to let the system get it automatically. Before this
operation, make sure your computer and the PT2060 Rack are connected, and the configuration in rack must
match the configuration in PT2060-CFG software. Moreover, the connected transducer must be placed to
proper position, otherwise this obtained value may be wrong.
It applies to the following two types of channel:
LVDT input, case expansion output-paired
LVDT input, case expansion output-single

Full Scale High/Low, Danger High/Low, Alert High/Low, GAP High/Low:
1. The ranges of Full Scale Low and Full Scale High depend on the type of channel, measurement and
transducer.
2. User should set the alarm set-points between the full scale low and full scale high. And the relevant
set-points of Alert must be set between Danger High and Danger Low, because Alert level is lower than
Danger level.
3. For proximity and LVDT sensors, GAP value stands for the distance between the sensor and the

measured surface. For other sensors, it is the bias of the input AC signal.
NOTE: For non-integral channels (A-A, V-V, D-D), there are two scales to choose.

Measurement Type:
It depends on the channel type you selected. See table below:
Channel Type Measurement Type

RMS
LVDT input, case expansion output-paired AVERAGE
LVDT input, case expansion output-single AVERAGE

Measurement Unit:
It depends on the channel type and system unit. For example: if the current channel type is Velocity input,
velocity output and system unit is Metric Unit, the measurement unit is mm/s.

Alert Type:
PT2060/20 Module supports two types of alarm: Alert and Gap. Alert means that PT2060/20 Module will
output alarm when the real time value exceeds alert set-point. Gap means that PT2060/20 Module will output
alarm when the gap voltage is above the GAP High limit or below the GAP Low limit. The default is Alert.
NOTE: When alert type is Alert, the Alarm Trip-Multiply function works for both alert and danger alarm; when
the alert type is GAP, it works only for danger alarm.

Frequency Type:
Select Vibration Frequency Response for rotative speed of the rotor. There are two options: Normal or Low
frequency.
You should choose Normal under following conditions:

A-A:
240 to 240,000RPM (4 to 4.0 kHz), -3dB
V-V:
120 to 120,000RPM (2 to 2.0 kHz), -3dB
You should choose Low frequency under following conditions:
A-A:
30 to 6,000RPM (0.5 to 100.0Hz), -3dB
V-V:
30 to 6,000RPM (0.5 to 100.0Hz), -3dB
D-D:
30 to 6,000RPM (0.5 to 100.0Hz), -3dB

Upscale Direction:
Case expansion measuring has relation to the transducer direction. Toward Probe direction means that the
larger the real time value, the higher the GAP voltage. Away from Probe direction means that the larger the
real time value, the lower the GAP voltage.
This feature applies to the following two types of channel:
LVDT input, case expansion output-paired
LVDT input, case expansion output-single

3. Switches
PT2060/30 Module has a group of onboard DIP toggle-switches. Those switches make channels easily adapt
to various RTD sensors. They are located on the outside of rear panel, one for each channel. Each
toggle-switch has two buttons that should be moved to the same side, inner or outer. When a channel
connects with a 3-wired RTD, two buttons of the switch that related to the channel should be moved to positon
ON (far from the terminals). And when a channel connects with a 4-wired RTD, two buttons of the switch
should be moved to position other than ON (closer to the terminals). So you should be careful if you change
the transducer type from 3-wire to 4-wire (or from 4-wire to 3-wire).

window is launched.

Channel No.:
List channel No. of this module.

Channel Enabled:
Mark it to enable this channel to work. Only when the channel is enabled and in OK status, it will output the
current normally according to the current channel definition.

Current Channel Definition:
36 TRO Transmitter Module is a current module. It is used to transform signal variables into current and
output them as 4~20mA mode. When the module leaves factory, current channel has been already defined as
the users requirement. User could modify this definition by PT2060-CFG software.
Each PT2060/36 Module contains sixteen channels, and each channel can independently output current
signal corresponding to the signal of the channel you specified.
Therere two methods to define the current channel:
Method 1: Select a channel from channel no. list, and right click a signal module. Then select a channel
beneath this module. Except channels of temperature modules, each signal channel you selected has two
signal variables: Overall and Gap. Specify one to be transformed into current signal. Note that for
temperature module, there is no Gap option. See pictures below:
PT2060-CFG Configuration Software

ProvibTech Phone: +1-713-830-7601 Fax: +1-281-754-4972 sales@provibtech.com , www.provibtech.com
42

Method 2: Input the programmable formula in related edit area by manual (only capital letters are legal). We
recommended user choose the first method.
Overall: If selected, the module will output current proportional to the full-scale of the associated real-time
value you specified.
Gap: If selected, the module will output current proportional to a GAP voltage you specified. The Gap voltage
range is -24V to 24V. For temperature module, there is no Gap option.
Example 1: The definition of current channel 1 is SLOT7CH4OVERALL
The channel 1 of 36 Module will output 4-20mA current proportional to full-scale of real-time value coming
from channel 4, which belongs to signal module that is installed on slot 7. When the real-time value of channel
4 equals its Full Scale Low, channel 1 will output 4mA current and when the real-time value equals its Full
Scale High, channel 1 will output 20mA current.
Example 2: The definition of current channel 1 is SLOT7CH4GAP
The channel 1 of 36 Module will output 4-20mA current proportional to GAP voltage with range from -24V to
24V of slot 7 channel 4. When the GAP voltage of channel 4 is -24V, channel 1 will output 4mA current and
when the GAP voltage is 24V, channel 1 will output 20mA current.

NOTES:
1. 36 Module could transform all signals of signal modules in the PT2060 system.
2. Each current channel could only transform and output one signal variable. If you change the associated
signal, the new one will replace the old one.
3. The current the 36 Module outputs may be invalid or insignificant if user specified a disabled signal
channel or the channel is in NOT OK status. For more detailed information, please refer to PT2060/36
TRO Transmitter Module User Manual.

Formula Configuration:
Since each PT2060/40 Module contains 16 relays, you should set formula configuration for each relay. Each
signal channel has three alarm statuses: Not OK, Alert, and Danger. You can right click a signal module
(10, 20, 30, 31, or 53), and then select a channel beneath this module, and finally select the alarm status.

NOTE: The NOT operator has precedence over the AND operator while the AND operator has precedence
over the OR operator. And parentheses are used to control the order of the operators for complex logic. Thus
the privilege of logical calculus is ( ) > NOT > AND > OR. When the logic is true, the relay for that channel will
be activated.
Example: The expression for relay is below:
SLOT1CH1Danger AND SLOT2CH1Danger OR SLOT3CH1Danger
Then relay will be activated in following cases:
Both SLOT1CH1 and SLOT2CH1 are in danger alarm
SLOT3CH1 is in danger alarm
When a module channel alarms (alert, danger, Not OK), the channel expression will return True; contrariwise
the channel expression will return False.

selecting Rack Reset command from Rack menu as well as pressing the reset button on the front panel of
SIM Module on the PT2060 Rack.

Transducer Sensitivity:
This is the most important parameter in monitoring process. The value depends on transducer type. When
transducer type is one of proximity probes, you should set this value by manual. And the value can be
changed according to the transducer type you select. When the transducer type is magnetic pickup, this item
is not allowed to set.

Teeth Per Cycle:
The teeth number on the gear i.e. the integer number of input pulses per shaft revolution. The Events per
Revolution could be description as a value between 1 and 255 with four decimals. User could set it according
to the actual value in the field. For example, if there are 24 teeth on the gear, teeth per cycle can be set to
23.9998 to adjust the rotation speed slightly. The default is 60.
NOTE: Teeth per cycle could be accurate to four decimal places only when the firmware versions of 53
Module and PT2060 Rack are 406 or later.

Trigger Voltage (Gap):
The Trigger Value is the nominal voltage about which the Hysteresis is centered.
The default value is -10V. When Manual Threshold Type is selected, user should manually set this value or
directly click Adjust button to let the system get it automatically. Before this operation, make sure your
computer and the PT2060 Rack are connected, and the configuration in rack must match the configuration in
PT2060-CFG software. Moreover, the connected transducer must be placed to proper position, otherwise the
value may be wrong.

Threshold Type:
The voltage level of the input signal from the transducer where triggering occurs (if the Hysteresis is 0). When
the transducer type is one of proximity probes, you can select Auto or Manual, if select Manual, you should set
Trigger Voltage. When the transducer is magnetic pickup, the default value is Auto and this option cant be
modified manually.

Manual: The trigger threshold is set by the user to any value in the range of -17V to -3V. Manual threshold
requires a minimum signal amplitude of 0.5V peak to peak.
Especially, if the expected average running speed of the machine is less than 200 RPM, Manual threshold is
recommended.

Full Scale High, Full Scale Low:
These determine the low limit and high limit of full scale. Full scale low is set to 0 by default. Full scale high
can be set by user according to the actual condition.

Measurement Type:
The value is NA.

Measurement Unit:
The value is RPM.

Alert Type:
The overspeed channel only supports one type of alarm: Alert. It means the module will output alarm when
the real-time value exceeds alert and/or danger set-point.

Danger High, Alert High, Gap High, Gap Low:
There are two alarm levels: Danger High and Alert High. Danger High is set to 75% of full scale high and Alert
High is set to 50% of full scale high by default. PT2060/53 Module and PT2060/53 Overspeed system do not
support GAP alert. GAP OK voltage also depends on the transducer type. When the transducer type is one of
proximity probes, Gap range is -24~0V. The default Gap High is -24V and Gap Low is -1V. When the
transducer is magnetic pickup, the items are invalid.

This type of pulse is produced by a phase reference transducer looking at a projection on the
shaft.
NOTE: This function is enabled only when the firmware versions of 53 Module and PT2060 Rack are 406 or
later.

Configure PT2060/91 SIM Module
PT2060/91 SIM Module is a communication and system management module. This module provides
communication between the PT2060 System and plant information system such as a distributed control
system (DCS) or a programmable logic controller (PLC). This module collects data from other modules in the
rack over a high speed internal network and sends the data to the information system upon request.
The module is also able to communicate with the Host via Ethernet. It can interface with maximum 5 hosts
networked together through switch. Host can be Modbus protocol based controllers or computers with
PT2060-CFG and DAQ software.
NOTE: PT2060/91 SIM Module is a very important part in PT2060 system. It provides a communication
between PT2060-CFG and PT2060 Rack, so user could configure module parameters, upload the rack
information from PT2060 Rack, and download configuration information to rack by PT2060-CFG software via
the module.
Each PT2060/91 Module occupies one slot in the rack. For a 19 Standard Rack, PT2060/91 Module is
installed on slot 15 of PT2060 Rack. For a 12 Mini Rack, PT2060/91 Module is installed on slot 8 of PT2060
Rack.

Transducer Type:
Two options: Proximity Transducer or Magnetic pickups.
NOTE: PT2060 Rack with firmware version 406 or later supports this function.

Trigger Voltage:
The Trigger Value is the nominal voltage about which the Hysteresis is centered. The default value is -10V.
When Manual Threshold Type is selected, user should manually set this value.

Threshold Type:
The threshold options are Auto and Manual.
Auto: The trigger threshold is automatically set to a value that is midway between the most positive peak and
the most negative peak of the input signal. This value tracks any changes in the input signal. Auto threshold
requires minimum signal amplitude of 1V peak to peak and minimum frequency of 0.0167Hz.
Manual: The trigger threshold is set by the user to any value in the range from -17V to -3V. Manual threshold
requires minimum signal amplitude of 500mv peak to peak. Manual mode is strongly recommended! To
manually set the trigger voltage, follow steps below:
1. Select Manual item and choose Channel no..
2. Measure and observe the phase signal which you want to use by oscillograph, and record the maximum
voltage and minimum voltage.
Then, calculate the Trigger voltage value.
Trigger voltage value = (maximum voltage + minimum voltage) / 2
3. Input Trigger voltage value, and then click Download button to set the parameters.
It is recommended that parameters should be verified after they were configured. This feature is active only
when transducer type is Proximity transducer.

Teeth Per Cycle:
The teeth number on the gear i.e. the integer number of input pulses per shaft revolution. It should be set
within the range from 1 to 255 and the default is 1.

Configure PT2060/96 Communication Module without Phase Reference
PT2060/96 Communication Module without Phase Reference is a communication and system monitoring
module. It provides serial communication between PT2060 System and plant information system such as
DCS or PLC. It collects data from other modules in the rack over a high speed internal network and sends the
data to the information system upon request.
NOTE: PT2060/96 Module couldnt be used to configure module parameters.
Each PT2060/96 Communication Module without Phase Reference occupies one slot in the rack. For a 19
Standard Rack, this module can be installed on any slot from 1 to 12. And for a 12 Mini Rack, it can be
installed on any slot from 1 to 7.
Left click the slot on which the module is installed, and then 96 Communication Module Configuration
window is launched.

Communication Parameters:
Baud Rate: The rate at which messages are transmitted and received from PLC or DCS. Specifically, it
represents the number of bits which can be transmitted and received from the module in 1 second. The Baud
Rate setting in the module must match the setting in the external device that connected to it. The possible
values are 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 115200.
Stop Bit: The number of bits which will be added to each PLS or DCS message. Each byte within a message
will contain 1 start bit, 8 data bits, and either 1 or 2 stop bits. The Stop Bits setting in the module must match
the setting in the external device that connected to it. The possible values are 1 and 2.
Parity Bit: The type of communication verification contained in each message byte. The parity setting in the
module must match the setting in the external device that connected to the module. Each port may be set with
a different parity setting. The possible values are odd, even, or none.
Settings on Stop Bit and Parity Bit should meet the following condition: if we use 1 bit to describe Odd or Even
and 0 for None, Stop Bit plus Parity Bit is 2. For example, if the Stop Bit is set to 1 bit, Parity Bit should be set
to Odd by default. PT2060-CFG software will automatically check the settings, if you set Stop Bit to 2 Bits,
Parity Bit will be automatically set to None.

Address Convention of TCP/IP Networking Protocol: TCP/IP networking protocol uses addresses with
four sets of 8 binary digits (called octets) which are separated by dots. These four octets can also be stated
as decimal equivalents. For instance, the above PT2060 IP address is 192.168.1.212. This is the same as
11000000.10101000.00000001.11010100 in binary form.

PT2060 IP:
The PT2060 IP address identifies the PT2060 Rack on the network and it has two parts: one is the identifier
for particular network on the internet; another one is the identifier for the PT2060 Rack with the network.
The PT2060 IP address follows the address convention of TCP/IP networking protocol. The available range
for the first octet (from left of IP address) is 1 to 126 plus 128 to 223. While the first octet is from 1 to 126, the
other three octets cant be 255 at the same time; while the first octet is from 128 to 191, the third and fourth
octets cant be 255 at the same time; while the first octet is from 192 to 223, the final octet cant be 255. The
default PT2060 IP address in 96 Ethernet Communication Module is 192.168.1.212.
After you set the PT2060 IP address, you should click Download button to download it to PT2060 Rack.
Before downloading, ensure you have activated control password. Also you could click Upload button to
upload the PT2060 IP address from 96 Ethernet Communication Module.
NOTE: Upload and download functions are enabled only when PT2060 Racks firmware version is 405 or
later.

Subnet Mask:
Subnet mask must contain a contiguous block of 1 values in the binary representation of the number starting
from the left. For example 255.0.255.0 is not a valid subnet mask, because all of the 1 values in the binary
representation are not contiguous. Subnet masks can also be described as the number of 1 values from
starting from the left in binary representation. For example a mask with an offset of 10 would be equivalent to
255.192.0.0.
It follows the address convention of TCP/IP networking protocol and tells the network which part of any IP
address belongs to the network and which part belongs to an individual host computer. It uses 1s to indicate
which part of an IP address is the network address, and 0s to indicate which part is the host address. In our
case, the host is PT2060 Rack. The rack default subnet mask value of 255.255.255.0 is the same as
11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000. That means the first three octets of the rack IP address
(192.168.1.212) belong to the network address and the final octet (192.168.1.212) belongs to PT2060 Rack.
After you set the subnet mask, you should click Download button to download it to PT2060 Rack. Before
downloading, ensure you have activated control password. Also you could click Upload button to upload the
subnet mask from 96 Ethernet Communication Module.
NOTE: Upload and download functions are enabled only when PT2060 Racks firmware version is 405 or
later.

Gateway:
You should type the IP Address of Gateway. The default is 192.168.1.1.
Click Download button to download it to PT2060 Rack. Before downloading, ensure you have activated
control password. Also you could click Upload button to upload the gateway from 96 Ethernet Communication

Address Convention of TCP/IP Networking Protocol: TCP/IP networking protocol uses addresses with
four sets of 8 binary digits (called octets) which are separated by dots. These four octets can also be stated
as decimal equivalents. For instance, the above PT2060 IP address is 192.168.1.211. This is the same as
11000000.10101000.00000001.11010011 in binary form.

The
default PT2060 IP address is 192.168.1.211.
After you set the PT2060 IP address, you should click Download button to download it to PT2060 Rack.

(192.168.1.211) belong to the network address and the final octet (192.168.1.211) belongs to PT2060 Rack.
After you set the subnet mask, you should click Download button to download it to PT2060 Rack.

Real-Time Value And Status/Single channel
You should select the module No. and channel No..

This window displays real time value, status, and other configuration parameters of the selected channel.
NOTE:
Colors of the bar graph indicate the channels real time status.
Green: No alarm
Yellow: Alert
Red: Danger
Lights before Alert, Danger, and Gap Not OK indicate the status of channels real time value and Gap voltage.
When alert occurs, the light before it turns yellow, and when danger and Gap Not OK occur, the lights before
them turn red. If the channel is in normal status, lights before Alert, Danger, and Gap Not OK will turn gray.
Light before Ok indicates whether the selected channel works normally. Green means that it works normally,
and gray means that it is in abnormal status.
Picture below shows the channel is in Gap Not OK status, which means it is abnormal. So the light before
OK turns gray, and the real-time value equals to the low limit value in the full scale.

Password Effective Time Period
Use this command to set the effective time of the passwords in PT2060 Rack.
This effective time is an important property of PT2060 Rack. The time calculation starts from the last time
when user downloads the correct password to the rack. If the time interval exceeds the effective time, the
passwords would be invalid, and user could not configure the related settings in the rack unless you type the
password again. Here the function is specially processed, and you only need to activate the password once in
a PT2060-CFGs running time.

The effective time should be set with an integer from 1 to 60. The default is 10 minute. Input the value in edit
box and then click Download button. Before downloading, ensure the control password or configuration
password is activated, otherwise, you will be asked to input the control password.
