En ingls existen diversas frases y palabras con las cuales podrs expresar saludos y
despedidas. Estos a su vez se pueden dividir en saludos y despedidas de tipo formal e
informal, las cuales podrs usar dependiendo del tipo de situacin en que te encuentres.
El siguiente cuadro ejemplifica las formas ms tpicas de saludos y despedidas formales e
informales del ingls.

Aprender el abecedario y reconocer sus letras y sonidos es fundamental en la etapa inicial
del aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma. Las letras del abecedario son la base de un idioma
escrito, mientras que sus sonidos proveen el conocimiento que nos permite comunicarnos
oralmente. Aunque parezca muy simple o bsico, aprender a deletrear es fundamental a
la hora de comunicar informacin esencial en nuestras vidas como por ejemplo: nombres,
apellidos, lugares de trabajo, y, emails, entre muchas otras.

A partir del veinte, los nmeros que le siguen son regulares: Twenty-one (veintinuno),
twenty-two (veintids)...as hasta el 30 (thirty), al que le sigue thirty-one (treinta y uno), 40
(forty), 50 (fifty), 60 (sixty), 70 (seventy), 80 (eighty), 90 (ninety) y 100 (one hundred), 200,
(two hundred), 300 (three hundred).....as hasta el 1000 (one thousand), 2000 (two
thousand), 3000 (three thousand)...y as hasta 1 milln (one million), 2 millones (2 million).

El verbo 'To be' tiene una importancia especial en ingls. Este corresponde al verbo "ser"
y "estar" del espaol. Dependiendo del sentido de la frase deduciremos de cual de los dos
se trata.
Ejemplo:
I am Chilean =Soy Chileno/a
I am in Chile = Estoy en Chile
