Situated on the left bank of the Manzanares
River, between Aniceto Marinas footbridge
and the Puente del Rey bridge, it has a
slope of the same name and is the largest
landscaped area in the northern part of the
Madrid Rio project.

Y-SHAPED FOOTBRIDGE
Nuevo puente singular de acero, con dos entradas en
la mrgen izquierda y una en la derecha. 100 m. de
longitud y ancho de 4,5 m. para uso peatonal y ciclista.
This distinctive new steel bridge has two entrances on
the left-hand side and one on the right. It is 100
metres long and 4.5 metres wide, and is for
pedestrians and cyclists only.

Dos puentes cubiertos y con decoracin en el techo de
mosaico representando a diferentes vecinos de la zona.
49 m. de longitud y entre 4,50 y 7 m. de ancho.
Two covered bridges whose ceilings are adorned with
decorative mosaics portraying local residents. They are 49
metres long and between 4.5 and 7 metres wide.

PUENTE DE SEGOVIA /
PUENTE DE SEGOVIA BRIDGE
Construido por el arquitecto Juan de Herrera entre 1582
y 1584 por orden de Felipe II para unir la calle Segovia
con la carretera de Extremadura. Labrado en granito,
consta de una estructura de nueve arcos de medio punto
almohadillados.
Built by architect Juan de Herrera between 1582 and
1584 at the behest of King Philip II to join Calle Segovia
with the Carretera de Extremadura. Made of granite, its
structure consists of nine semi-circular rusticated arches.

Principal zona ajardinada del proyecto Madrid Ro. En sus 23 hectreas

albergar dos skateparks y la famosa playa urbana de Madrid.
This is the largest park in the Madrid Rio Project. Its 23 hectares will include
two skateparks and Madrids famous city beach.

Encargado por el Ayuntamiento en 1921 al arquitecto

Luis Bellido. En la actualidad est siendo objeto de
una completa remodelacin como Centro de Apoyo a
la Creacin.
Commissioned by the City Council, it was built by local
architect Luis Bellido in 1921. It is currently being fully
remodelled and turned into a Centre for Contemporary
Creation and the main office of important institutions.

Puente postensado de la antigua

M-30, reconvertido en peatonal y
ciclista con ajardinamiento, 150 m.
de longitud y 15,50 m. de ancho.
An old M30 motorway post-tensioned
bridge, it has now been landscaped
and is for pedestrians and cyclists
only. It is 150 metres long and 15.5
metres wide.

Este espacio fue creado en el siglo XVI como huerta al servicio

del Palacio de Vargas, pero fue perdiendo su uso
paulatinamente. Ahora es recuperado con la plantacin de 873
rboles frutales de nueve especies distintas.
Designed in the 16th century as an orchard to serve the
Vargas Palace, it gradually fell into disuse over the years. It
has now been given a new lease of life with the plantation of
873 fruit trees of nine different species.

Un paseo arbolado de 6 km de
longitud recorrido por itinerarios
peatonales y ciclistas. Discurre por
ambas mrgenes del ro, lo que
posibilita un trayecto circular.
This tree-lined promenade that
is 6 kilometres long has paths
for pedestrians and cyclists
which run along both banks of
the river making a circular route.

Proyectado por Juan Gmez de Mora y construido por

Jos Villarreal entre 1649 y 1660. Mandado construir por
Felipe IV para enlazar Madrid con el camino de Toledo.
Debido a varias riadas se encarg en 1715 una nueva
reconstruccin a Pedro de Ribera. Estructura final de
nueve arcos de medio punto con slidos contrafuertes y
tambores que se rematan en balconcillos.
Designed by Juan Gmez de Mora and built by Jos
Villareal between 1649 and 1660. Its construction was
ordered by King Philip IV to join Madrid with the route
leading to Toledo. Following various floods, Pedro Ribera
was commissioned to reconstruct it in 1715. Its
structure consists of nine semi-circular arches with solid
buttresses and drums topped by small balconies.

Ancho entre 4 y 7 metros.
An unusual new bridge stretching 250 metres and
linking Paseo de Yeseras with Avenida de Manzanares.
Its width varies between 4 and 7 metres.

CARRIL BICI / BIKE LANE

La red ciclista que discurre en torno a Madrid Ro no es slo una
infraestructura para el ocio y el deporte, sino que tambin cubrir las
necesidades cotidianas de movilidad. Todo un entramado de carriles
ciclistas que recorreran 30 kms. y enlaza con el Anillo Verde Ciclista e
incluso conectar Getafe con la Sierra de Madrid.
The cycling network that runs across Madrid Ro is not just an
infrastructure for leisure and sport. It will also provide inhabitants of
the capital with a new way to move around since it will comprise 30
kilometres of bike lanes that will be linked to the Green Cycle Ring
and will even connect Getafe with Sierra de Madrid mountains.
