Podemos afirmar que sobre la base de los conceptos de la Medicina Tradicional China existen dos tipos bsicos de tratamientos mediante acupuntura. El ms sencillo que consiste en realizar la puncin con agujas en los puntos dolorosos y de esta forma brinda slo alivio parcial y breve del dolor agudo y que adems utiliza los puntos sobre la base de recetas y formularios previamente elaborados. Para producir efectos de tonificacin o sedacin sobre determinados rganos, se utilizan puntos especficos. Existen a su vez puntos para determinados sntomas o enfermedades. Este mtodo conlleva a una moderada regulacin del funcionamiento de los rganos, pero no trata la causa principal del problema. El segundo, que es la forma verdadera de la acupuntura permite evaluar desequilibrios energticos que constituyen las bases de toda enfermedad funcional. Esto se logra fundamentalmente, a travs del anlisis de la pulsologa a la que ya hicimos referencia. A pesar de estas consideraciones que consideramos correctas, y sobre la base de la experiencia acumulada durante ms de 20 aos de labor sistemtica e ininterrumpida, los resultados del trabajo a lo largo de estos aos, el intercambio de criterios con prestigiosos profesores y la bibliografa consultada, recomendamos el formulario siguiente que contiene un conjunto de recetas de los principales puntos de acupuntura para las afecciones ms frecuentes en la atencin primaria de salud, con la certeza de que se obtienen resultados satisfactorios en un porcentaje bastante considerable de pacientes tratados. En algunos sntomas, sndromes, o enfermedades, aparecen especificaciones de sedacin o tonificacin de puntos que obedecen a recomendaciones de autores rusos. Aparecen adems, para una mejor localizacin prctica de los puntos, la seleccin en locales y distales. Queremos ofrecer, antes de describir el formulario, los puntos principales segn su efecto. Puntos analgsicos: IG-4 (el ms analgsico): E-43 y E-44 (para afecciones de miembros inferiores). V-44. Puntos Ahshi (afecciones agudas y crnicas en fase de agudizacin). Puede utilizarse para potenciar la accin (segn Floreal Carballo): TR-5 y VB-41 (cupla antlgica) ID-3 y V-62 (cupla psicofsica) Puntos sedantes: VG-20 (el ms tranquilizante), Extra 6, C-7, CS-6, VB-34, V-62, V-5, E-40, IG-4, VG-11. Puntos homeostticos: IG-11 (el ms homeosttico), BP-6, E-36, H-3. Puntos de efecto en la respuesta psicolgica (para el tratamiento de trastornos psiquitricos): VG-20, VG-11, C-7, CS-6. Puntos de accin inmunodefensiva y antiinflamatoria: VG-14, IG-11, BP-6.

Punto de emergencia: R-1 (Jayasuriya) Utilizamos en la prctica, con relativa frecuencia, los puntos de los ocho tejidos que detallamos en el capitulo precedente, fundamentalmente los puntos: -VB-34, para afecciones tendinoso-musculares, incluyendo el reumatismo de tejidos blandos. -V-11, para la osteoartritis degenerativa y artritis de etiologa variada. -VB-39, para afecciones del SNC y SNP. I.- APARATO RESPIRATORIO 1. - Rinitis alrgica. Locales: V-2, IG-20. Distales: IG-4, P-7. Especfico de alergia: BP-10, homeosttico: VG-20. Obstruccin nasal: IG-19. 2. - Sinusitis. Locales: VB-14. Distal: IG-4. Especfico de alergia: BP-10. Especfico de infecciones: VG-14, IG-11, BP-6. 3. - Asma bronquial. Crisis: P-1, VC-17, VC-22. Distales: IG-4, IG-11, P-5, P-7, E-40, P-6, ID-6, R-7. Status: VC-17, (puede implantarse catgut). Distal: P-6. Intercrisis: VG-20, VC-17, P-1, VG-14, V-13, Distales: P-7, IG-4, E-36. Expectoracin abundante: E-40. Dolor dorsolumbar: V-23, V-13. Palpitaciones: CS-6, C-7. Distensin abdominal: E-25, VC-12, E-36, BP-15. Rinitis: IG-20. Obstruccin nasal: IG-19. Dolor torcico y tos: P-1. Otra receta sera utilizar sedacin en los puntos: P-7, IG-6, P-1, C-7, R-6, V-13, V-15, H-14, VC20, VC-22. 4. - Tos. Sedacin: Locales: P-1, V-13, R-27, H-14, V-43, VC-22. Distales: P-5, P-6, P-8, R-1. Tonificacin: Distales: IG-1, E-40, R-3, IG-11.

II. APARATO CARDIOVASCULAR. 5. - Hipertensin arterial. V-18, V-23. Distales: E-36, BP-6, H-2, IG-4, C-7, CS-6, H-3, R-3, IG-11. Si la hipertensin arterial se acompaa de los siguientes sntomas, se puede agregar: Cefalea global: VG-20. Cefalea occipital o temporal: VB-20.

Cara enrojecida: BP-10. Palpitaciones y opresin: V-10, VB-21, V-15, IG-11, IG-4. 6. - Distona neurovegetativa cardiovascular (ansiedad, palpitaciones, extrasstoles aislados, sin lesin orgnica del corazn). Si se diagnostica talalgia por espoln del calcneo, se recomienda la infiltracin con 0,5 ml de solucin salina fisiolgica, en un punto simtrico que se localiza aproximadamente a 1 cun de la lnea central por donde transcurre el meridiano de VC, a ambos lados del centro del mentn, con una periodicidad de 2-3 veces por semana. 18. - Tortcolis. Locales: Puntos Ahshi, VB-20, VB-21, IG-14, V-41. Distales: VB-39, ID-3, ID-6, IG-4, TR-5. VI. AFECCIONES DE PIEL Y MUCOSAS. 19. - Acn grado II III. Puntos locales alrededor del rea afecta, VG-20. Distal: IG-4. Puntos inmunitarios: VG-14, IG-11, BP-6. Colaterales: P-5, P-7. 20. - Herpes zoster. Locales: Puntos Ahshi adyacentes al nervio y del meridiano de Vasogobernador, VG-20.

Distales: IG-4, TR-5, ID-3, E-44. 21. -Dermatitis. Puntos adyacentes a las lesiones. VG-20, VG-14, IG-11, P-7, BP-10. Si prurito: V-16, BP-10. VII. TRASTORNOS NEURTICOS. 22. - Ansiedad. VG-20. Distales: C-7, V-62, IG-4, CS-6, H-3. 23. - Estados depresivos. VG-20, VC-6. Distales: C-7, CS-6, E-36, BP-6. 24. - Disfuncin sexual fisiolgica. VC-2, VC-3, VC-4, VC-6, VG-20, V-23, VG-4. Distales: BP-6, IG-4, E-36, R-3, H-8. Para estimular la ereccin: V-32, R-12. Para la sntesis heptica de hormonas sexuales: V-18, H-14. Para hormonas esteroides y testosterona: V-47, R-11, R-7. En esta afeccin, se recomienda despus de 10 sesiones de Acupuntura, Farmacopuntura de forma alterna en los siguientes puntos: 1era. semana: VC-4, VC-6, BP-6. 2da. semana: V-23. Se utilizan juntos, los medicamentos siguientes: - Vitamina B1 (Tiamina), bulbos de 5 ml (1ml. = 100mg), 1ml. - Vitamina B6 (Piridoxina), mpulas de 25 y 50 mg, 1 ml. - Extracto de placenta: 1ml, (puede prescindirse de este ltimo). La duracin del tratamiento ser de 8 semanas. 25. - Enuresis. VG-20, VC-2, VC-3, VC-4, E-29, V-23, V-32, VG-3. Distales: E-36, BP-6, V-40, V-60. Sedacin: V-23, V-24, V-25, V-26, VG-4, VC-4,VC-6.
