There are regular irregular verbs, that have their own set of endings. It doesnt matter if these verbs are AR ER or IR; they have the same endings. nosotros - imos ellos ellas Uds.

So.saber in the preterit translates to found outthe first time you got information.

FOR THE TIME BEING YOU ONLY NEED TO KNOW TWO FORMS OF THIS VERB. Theres no conjugation, just HAY. HAYthere is/ there are: Hay muchos hombres en esta clase. No hay elefantes en esta clase.

The preterit of hay is HUBOthere was/there were. El semestre pasado hubo ms chicas en mis clases. Pero no hubo elefantes.
