1. Instalar anillo de seguridad (29) previamente eliminado y marcados en la ranura con unos alicates (064) de tal manera que la apertura de
anillo de seguridad (29) se enfrenta a la costilla (flecha).
Instalar anillo de seguridad (29) que se retiró y marcado previamente con el fin de lograr una precarga básica de la caja del eje trasero.

1. Adjuntar spreader (058) a la caja del eje trasero; para hacer esto, apretar los tornillos de cabeza hexagonal del collar (flechas) (valor orientativo: aprox. 40
Nm).
2. Girar borde recto de la pieza de empuje para hacer frente nervio delantero (flecha).
3. Tornillo de husillo roscado (058A) de la unidad de esparcidor a mano hasta que la pieza de empuje toca rodillos cónicos
Anillo exterior del cojinete.
Establecer un medidor de escala a "0", con 3 mm de precarga. Asegúrese de que el indicador de cuadrante permanece a "0".

Perno de tope (flecha) del brazo de contacto (059) debe hacer tope con la superficie de contacto de la caja del eje trasero.
5. Tornillo en el husillo roscado (058A) del esparcidor hasta la caja del eje trasero ha alcanzado el
especificado dimensión expandida.
No exceda la dimensión difusión al difundir. De lo contrario la caja del eje trasero puede quedar dañada.

3. Mantenga piñón de ataque al brida de unión y mover el dial indicador titular alternativamente a izquierda y derecha con mango (flecha), mientras que la lectura
de juego del engranaje.
4. Llevar a cabo la medición 4 veces. Girar la corona aprox. Otros 90 ° cada vez.
El ajuste de la cónica rodamientos de rodillos y equipo de conjunto es OK si la dimensión propagación (expansión) de la caja del eje trasero y el
contragolpe del engranaje están dentro del rango de las especificaciones. Si no se alcanzan estos valores, el ajuste se debe repetir utilizando los anillos
de retención delgadas o más gruesas, según proceda.

6. Put markings (b) on rear axle center assembly housing offset by 45°.
7. Tighten flange bolts with 45° swing angle, stage 2. The marks (a) and (b) should then be in alignment.
The flange bolts can also be tightened using a commercially available swing angle measuring device.

The sealing compound must be applied only to the specified sealing surfaces (arrow) with a bead of
2.0 mm (± 0.5 mm). The sealing compound must be applied within 10 min. The silicone bead should not be spread. Only the
approved sealant may be used.
3. Position the end cover (54) and secure with flange bolts.
The markings (d, e) must then match. The tightening angle can also be checked using a commercially available angle tester.

1. Attach spreader (058) to rear axle housing; to do this, tighten hexagon collar bolts (arrows) (guidance value: approx. 50 Nm).

2. Place contact arm (059) for measuring spread dimension on spreader. Set dial gauge to "0" with 3
mm preload.
Stop bolt (arrow) of the contact arm (059) must abut with contact surface of rear axle housing.
3. Turn the even surface (arrow) of the thrust piece to the opening of the locking ring (29).
4. Screw in threaded spindle (058a) of spreader unit by hand until thrust piece touches tapered roller
bearing outer race.

5. Screw in the threaded spindle (058a) of the spreader until the rear axle housing has reached the
specified expanded dimension.
Do not exceed the spread dimension when spreading. Otherwise the rear axle housing may become damaged.
7. Remove right circlip (29) from rear axle housing using pliers (064).
8. Mark circlip (29).
9. Release rear axle housing and detach spreader.

Driving out and driving in differential pin and roll pin - AR35.31-P-0560-02A
Removal:
1. Using a suitable drift, hammer roll pin (19) for the differential pinion shaft (16) out of the differential case (13).
2. Use assembly arbor to knock differential pinion shaft (16) out of differential case (13).
With 185 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor 123 589 06 15 00.

With 198 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor 126 589 02 15 00.
Installation:
3. Use assembly arbor to knock differential pinion shaft (16) into differential case (13).
In the process pay attention to the bore for the roll pin (19).
With 185 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor 123 589 06 15 00.
With 198 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor 126 589 02 15 00.
4. Knock in new roll pin (19) until it is seated centrally in differential pinion shaft (16).
1. Insert assembly arbors (046) and turn until differential pinions (15) are vertical in opening.
2. Remove differential pinions (15) with spherical washers (14).
3. Remove rear axle side gears (17) with thrust washers (18).

2. Mount both rear axle side gears (17) with thrust plates (18) on the assembly arbor (046) in the
differential case.

3. Insert the two differential pinions (15) and spherical washers (14) together and exactly opposite in the differential case and
position using assembly arbor (046).
4. Instead of the differential pinion shaft, push the assembly arbor (021) for fixing differential pinions
(15) and spherical washers (14) in position into the differential case.
With 185 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor (021)123 589 06 15 00.
With 198 mm dia. ring gear, use assembly arbor (021)126 589 02 15 00.
