Contexto: un turista irlandés en Málaga acude al médico ya

que siente malestar y dolor de cabeza

Dra. Cerván: Buenas tardes. Tome asiento ¿En qué puedo ayudarle?

Mr. O'Connor: Good evening. Well, doctor… I don’t feel so well.

Dra. Cerván: ¿Qué le sucede?¿Podría explicarme algunos de sus síntomas?

Mr. O’Connor: I have a terrible headache and I feel very dizzy. I feel as if my head

was about to explode.

Dra. Cerván: ¿Cuando empezaron los síntomas?

Mr. O’Connor: Yesterday I already started feeling dizzy, but today is much worse. I

almost lost my consciousness.

Dra. Cerván: ¿Tiene también otros síntomas cómo sudor excesivo o debilidad?

Mr. O’Connor: Yes, I don’t stop sweating and it's difficult to breathe.

Dra. Cerván: De acuerdo. Por los síntomas que me describe, es posible que haya

sufrido una insolación.

Mr. O’Connor: A sunstroke? How is that possible? I had sunscreen the entire time I

was out in the street.

Dra. Cerván: El protector solar protege su piel, pero no le protege del calor. Es

importante que evite el sol, que esté hidratado en todo momento, y que intente no

estar demasiado tiempo en el exterior si hace demasiado calor.

Mr. O’Connor: Really? It’s true that the weather in Málaga is very hot, I’ve been

visiting the city nonstop.

Dra. Cerván: Debe tener cuidado con el clima. Me gustaría revisar su presión

sanguínea y su temperatura.

Mr.O’Connor: Of course. Is everything okay, doctor?

Dra. Cerván: Bueno, su temperatura es alta y su presión sanguínea es un poco

baja.

Mr. O’Connor: Will I get better? I’m very worried.

Dra. Cerván: Sí, no se preocupe. Le inyectaremos una sustancia que le permitirá

recuperar el agua que ha perdido su cuerpo.

Mr. O’Connor: Do I need to take any medication?

Dra. Cerván: No, pero asegúrese de reposar en un ambiente fresco y de beber

mucha agua.

Mr. O’Connor: Okay, doctor. Thank you so much for your help!

Dra. Cerván: Estoy aquí para ayudarle. Le veo después, señor O’Connor.

Mr. O’Connor: Goodbye.
