¿Qué se considera una víctima especialmente vulnerable?
“Sujeto pasivo con con circunstancias personales que determinan que se halle en una
situación de inferioridad o indefensión, que comporta una agravación de la
responsabilidad penal para el autor del delito.” (RAE)

Algunos datos relevantes sobre refugiados en el mundo
● Al menos 108,4 millones de personas en todo el mundo se han
visto obligadas a huir de sus hogares.
● Entre ellas hay 35,3 millones de personas refugiadas, de los cuales
alrededor del 41 % menores de 18 años.
● También hay millones de personas apátridas a quienes se les ha
negado una nacionalidad y acceso a derechos básicos como
educación, salud, empleo y libertad de movimiento.
● 1 de cada 74 personas en el mundo se vio obligado a huir de sus
hogares como resultado de los conflictos y la persecución
(UNHCR, 2001-2023)

Estudio sobre el uso de EMDR como tratamiento de estabilización para los síntomas de
PTSD en refugiados que buscaban asilo en los Países Bajos reveló que EMDR era factible
y aceptable (Ter Heide, Mooren, Kleijn, De Jongh y Kleber, 2011) → tamaño muy pequeño
(N=20) las conclusiones sobre la eficacia de EMDR en esta población.
