Una inecuación es una desigualdad que tiene por objetivo hallar un conjunto solución.

El
procedimiento para resolver una inecuación es el mismo que el de una ecuación.

Si el conjunto solución (C.S.) son varios números o infino, debe abreviarse mediante puntos
suspensivos, después de escribir los 3 ó 4 primeros números.

Resolver una inecuación es hallar su conjunto solución.

x+ 5> 6 Se lee: “ x + 5 mayor a 6”

x– 4< 8 Se lee: “ x – 4 menor a 8”
>
x – 7  12 Se lee: “ x – 7 menor o igual a 12”

x + 6  10 Se lee: “ x + 6 mayor o igual a 10”


Para resolver inecuaciones utilizaremos el método de transposición de términos:
