Dear Family,

I am writing to you as I will be starting a unit of study with your student over the next
few weeks! We will be working on Baywood March which is one of the pieces they will be
playing for Concert MPA at the end of March. We will be working on the middle section which
prominently features the clarinets and French horns. This unit will consist of a pre-test, 8
rehearsals, and post-test. The pre-test and post-test will be administered to students individually
during their normal class time. I invite you to ask your student about how the unit is going
throughout the next few weeks and inquire about what they have learned. Since we will be
performing this piece at Concert MPA, I would like to invite you all to attend their performance
at 3:15 pm on March 31st at Millennium Middle School to support all their hard work and see the
progress they have made. I am looking forward to working with your student, and I can’t wait to
see the progress they will make!

¡Te escribo ya que comenzaré una unidad de estudio con tu estudiante en las próximas
semanas! Trabajaremos en Baywood March, que es una de las piezas que tocarán para el
Concierto de MPA al fin de marzo. Estamos enfocado en la sección central que destaca los
clarinetes y las bocinas francesas. Esta unidad consistirá en una prueba previa, 8 ensayos y una
prueba posterior. La prueba previa y la prueba posterior se administrarán a los estudiantes
individualmente durante su tiempo de clase normal. Los invito a que le pregunten a su estudiante
