Foundation Gems (5 days)

Overview
This course is designed for novice users who normally work in the areas of exploration, modelling, mine design and planning.
This course covers basic database management concepts; data entry and editing; drillhole, point, polyline, and triangulation
display; report generation; and data manipulation, filtering, and validation techniques. In addition to plot generation on plans
and sections

Expected Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to accomplish the following:
a) Create a new project in Gems.
b) Customise your graphical area to suit your working needs.
c) Create, add, and modify workspaces.
d) Set up profiles for all parameters in the system.
e) Add and modify section views.
f) Load and display drillholes into the graphical work area.
g) Filter data from the workspace.
h) Manipulate data in the workspace.
i) Perform Univariate and Multivariate Analysis of the data.
j) Extract Points from drillhole data.
k) Create Points and Polylines.
l) Plot all displayed data.
m) Use PlotMaker to define specific plot styles.
n) Perform Batch Plotting of the data.
o) Use drillhole data to create basic surfaces.
p) Digitize simple 3D rings from interpreted drillhole data and use to create a solid.
q) Generate reports.
