BE GOING TO

USE
In English we can use “be going to” to convey
an idea of ​the future. Although there are
many ways to express ideas in the future in
English, this structure has two main
functions. First of all, we use it to refer to
future plans that we have already decided
on.

BE GOING TO
"Going to"
The future tense is most commonly used in spoken
language when you want to refer to the immediate
future, that is, to something that is about to happen.

EXAMPLE
She is going to pay with a credit card = Ella va a
pagar con una tarjeta de crédito (algo que
está por ocurrir).
I am going to drop off my prescription over
there = voy a dejar mi prescripción médica allá.
También se emplea para hablar de intenciones o
planes para hacer algo:

It is formed with the verb «to be» conjugated for


the corresponding person, followed by «going to»
and the base verb:
«To be» + «going to» + verb:
I am going to pay
You are going to pay
He is going to pay
She is going to pay
It is going to pay
We are going to pay
You are going to pay
They are going to pay
