 Cascadas de Tamanique, La Liberatd

Sus pobladores cuentan que los orígenes de esta tierra,

vasta de peñascos y montañas, fue hogar para tribus
indígenas como los Pokomanes, que se dedicaban al
cultivo del maíz en la época precolombina.
Posteriormente, fue conquistado por los Pipiles. Después
de la invasión española, se le bautizó como Santiago
Tamanique.
 Tamanique Waterfalls, La Libertad

Its inhabitants say that the origins of this land, vast with
rocks and mountains, was home to indigenous tribes
such as the Pokomanes, who were dedicated to growing
corn in pre-Columbian times. Later, it was conquered by
the Pipiles. After the Spanish invasion, he was baptized
as Santiago Tamanique.
Ubicación Cascadas de Tamanique
Tamanique se encuentra ubicado al Sur del
departamento de La Libertad, limita al Norte con
Jayaque y Talnique; al Este con Comasagua y La
Libertad; al Sur con el Océano Pacífico y al Oeste con
Chiltiupán. Cuenta con playas en el Océano Pacífico.

Tamanique is located to the south of the department of
La Libertad, bordering Jayaque and Talnique to the
north; to the East with Comasagua and La Libertad; to
the South with the Pacific Ocean and to the West with
Chiltiupán. It has beaches on the Pacific Ocean.
 Recorrido hacia las cascadas
Descúbrelas en el pueblo de Tamanique,están
compuestas por 4 cascadas donde pondrás a prueba tu
valor y espíritu aventurero.

En la primera y en la segunda cascada podrás realizar

saltos a las pozas; y en las demás podrás nadar y
apreciar las hermosas vistas panorámicas de la zona. Si
te gusta caminar y la aventura, lo mejor es llegar hasta
la cuarta cascada, solo debes caminar 2 kilómetros. Unos
metros antes de llegar deberás descender con ayuda de
una cuerda, vale la pena hacerlo.

Las cascadas están enclavadas en las montañas y tienen

diferentes alturas y grados de dificultad de acceso,
según se van moviendo río abajo. La principal tiene una
majestuosa caída de más de 40 metros. Además, podrás
disfrutar de un delicioso baño en sus pozas, que te
invitan a refrescarte después de la caminata.
 Tour to the waterfalls
