Delroy arrives at reunion with co-worker Pamela (family is gathered together).

Mother: Hi Delroy, glad you could make it to our family get together.
Hola Delroy, me alegro de que hayas podido asistir a nuestra reunión familiar.
Sis #1: Who is your new friend?
¿Quién es tu nuevo amigo?
Delroy: Hi mother, I couldn’t miss this for the world.
Hola madre, no podía perderme esto por nada del mundo.
Delroy: (Turn to the sister and smile) - Let me introduce you all to my new friend and also co
– worker.
Permítanme presentarles a todos a mi nuevo amigo y también compañero de
trabajo.
Mother: (Smile).
Delroy: Her name is Pamela; she is a new transfer to our company. She is all the way from
another country.
Su nombre es Pamela; ella es una nueva transferencia a nuestra empresa. Ella es

Delroy: (Turn to Pamela) - Pamela let me introduce you to my little family.
Pamela déjame presentarte a mi pequeña familia.
Delroy: (Turns to family) - This is my lovely mother Miss Pat.

Mother: (Smile) – Nice to meet you, Pamela.

Delroy: (Turn to sisters) – These are my two bratty sisters, Sash and Kadian.

Sis #2: Nice to meet you Pamela, so tell us a little about yourself.

Pamela: (Chuckles) - That’s okay Delroy.

Pamela: So, I’m from a little island known as Cuba. Where I lived with my mom and younger
brother Pablo. I’m 29 years of age and I moved to your country for a better
employment opportunity. Does that answer your questions? (Smile)

Mother: (Smile) – And how are you liking our little island of Jamaica?

Pamela: I must say I’m in love with your little paradise. I do enjoy the culture and also the
beautiful beaches.

Sis #2: So, Miss Pamela, do you live alone here?

Pamela: Yes, I do, I live in a small apartment about 20 miles from work.

Pamela: But who to tell after all we don’t know what the future holds. (Winks to Delroy).

Sis #1: After all our brother is very much single and lonely. (Laughing).

Pamela: (Looking very tense and uncomfortable).
Mother: So, Miss Pamela, tell us about Cuba.

Pamela: Well Cuba is a nice little island, very warm like Jamaica. We normally have a lot of
tourists and our food is great. You should visit one day. I think you will like the
culture and our people; they are very friendly.

Pamela: Well Pablo is 20 years old. He is currently in college.

Delroy: So, Pamela are you enjoying our family get together?

Delroy: Pamela it’s getting late, I think I should bring you home now.

(Delroy and Pamela went on their way)

Delroy: So, Pamela what do you think of my family? (With a worried look).

Pamela: Well, I must say they were quiet a handful, your sisters were very entertaining but I
enjoyed your family company.

Delroy: I do apologies if they made you feel uncomfortable.

Pamela: This is me; I’ll see you tomorrow at work. I appreciate you inviting me to your
family get together, I had so much fun. (Hugs Delroy).

Delroy: I’m glad you enjoyed the family gathering, have a good rest of your night. (Smile).
