INSTRUCCIONES : Escuchen varias veces la conversación en el video, practiquen y luego en parejas pasan a
decirlo d frente a sus compañeros.

CONVERSATION
FREE TIME
 This conversation is between two new friends.
 They´re getting two know each other.
 They´re talking about their free time.
Jen: What do you do for fun, Dana?
Dana: I hang out with my friends.
Jen: Where do you hang out?
Dana: At the mall. We sometimes watch a movie or go shopping.
What about you?
Jen: I play soccer in the park.
Dana: Sounds fun. Who do you play with?
Jen: My brother and his friends.
Actually we need another player.
Are you interested?
Dana: Sure!

TEMA: ¿Qué es el verbo can y cómo se utiliza?

“Can” es un verbo modal y, tiene distintas funciones. Ya hemos visto que se usa especialmente para
hablar de una habilidad o capacidad en general: -I can count to 30 in Russian (Sé contar hasta 30 en
ruso). -Daniela can swim 100 lengths (Daniela puede hacerse cien largos).
 Aquí su forma negativa es “can’t”

-I can't speak French at all (No sé una palabra de francés).

- She can't play the piano ( Ella no sabe tocar el piano).

Permiso
Asimismo, se puede emplear “can” para pedir permiso o concederlo:
-Can I have another piece of cake please? (¿Puedo tomar otro trozo de tarta, por favor?).
