 Good morning (buenos días) / Good afternoon (buenas tardes, de 12 a 6) /

Good evening (buenas tardes, de 5 a 8) / Good night (cuando es de noche y
te vas a dormir, o es muy, muy tarde).
 Nice to meet you (encantado de conocerte). Ésta es la fórmula más habitual
y de tipo informal, pero para los contextos más formales y serios puedes
decir también “How do you do?” o “Pleased to meet you”.
 Algo mas informal seria: What’s up? / What’s happening? (¿Qué pasa?)

Preguntar el nombre en inglés (asking about names)

 What is your name? (¿Cuál es tu nombre?)
 What’s your last name / surname? (¿Cuál es tu apellido?)
 How can I call you? (¿Cómo te puedo llamar?)

Preguntar por la edad (asking about your age)

 How old are you? (¿Qué edad tienes?)
 When is your birthday? (¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?)
 Do you mind if I ask you how old are you? (¿Te importa que te pregunte qué
edad tienes? Mucho más formal y respetuosa, porque no todo el mundo te
querrá decir su edad)

 Which is your nationality? (¿cuál es tu nacionalidad?)
 Where were you born? (¿En dónde nació/naciste?)
 What’s your address? (¿Cuál es tu dirección?)

 What do you work? (En qué trabajas?)
 What do you do? (¿A qué te dedicas?)
