A: So what do you do for a living?

B: I’m a Software Engineering at a retail company, my work is to create new technologies to

make user experience way easier.

A: So you make online shopping easier?

B: Yes, that’s pretty much what I do. What about you?

A: I’m a journalist, I write articles for Vogue Magazine, mostly about fashion and new trends.

B: That’s cool, have you ever met someone famous?

A: Yeah, I once interviewed Sarah Jessica Parker for an article.

B: Wow, I love her movies.

A: Me too! I was really nervous, but it turned out pretty well, she loved what I wrote.

B: Wish I could meet someone famous.

A: Entonces, ¿a qué te dedicas?

B: Soy Ingeniero de Software en una compañía de retail, mi trabajo es crear nuevas tecnologías
para hacer la experiencia del usuario mucho más fácil.

A: ¿Entonces haces que comprar en línea sea más fácil?

B: Si, básicamente eso es lo que hago. ¿Y qué tal tú?

A: Soy periodista, escribo artículos para la revista Vogue, la mayoría sobre moda y nuevas
tendencias.

B: Eso es genial, ¿alguna vez has conocido a alguien famoso?

A: Si, una vez entrevisté a Sarah Jessica Parker para un artículo.

B: Vaya, me encantan sus películas.

A: ¡A mí también! Estaba muy nerviosa, pero resultó bastante bien, ya que le encantó lo que
escribí.

B: Ojalá pudiera conocer a alguien famoso.

SOBRE VIVIENDA
A: So where are you from?

B: I’m from Texas, but now I live in New York. And you?

A: I’m Colombian, I came to America a couple years ago.

B: Cool, and where do you live?

A: In Staten Island.

B: Oh, we live pretty close then.

A: Yeah, I go to the city very often, I have a lot of friends there.

B: I’ve never been into Staten Island though.

A: You can come visit me sometime, I can show you around.

B: Sure! That would be cool.

A: ¿Y de dónde eres?

B: Soy de Texas, pero ahora vivo en Nueva York. ¿Y tú?

A: Soy colombiano, vine a América hace un par de años.

B:Genial, ¿y dónde vives?

A: En Staten Island.

B: Oh, entonces vivimos bastante cerca.

A: Si, voy a la ciudad bastante seguido, tengo varios amigos allá.

B: Yo nunca he ido a Staten Island.

A: Puedes venir a visitarme alguna vez, te puedo mostrar cómo es.

B: ¡Claro! Eso sería genial.

SOBRE PASATIEMPO
A: So do you have any hobbies?

B: Yeah, I like painting watercolors in my free time. And you?

A: Oh, I’m not that artistic, I’m more into sports, so usually I play basketball with my friends on
weekends.

B: Cool. I’m totally the opposite though, I’m really good with handcrafts, but not so much with
sports. I used to play volleyball at school, but it didn’t last much.

A: I also played volleyball, but I guess I like basketball more. And art class was my worst class.

B: Oh I bet you’re not that bad.

A: No, I swear, art it’s definitely not my thing. I like to see it, but not to make it.

B: I understand, I guess it is not meant for everybody. Just like me with sports.

A: Entonces, ¿tienes algún pasatiempo?

B: Si, me gusta pintar acuarelas en mi tiempo libre ¿Y tú?

A: Oh, yo no soy tan artístico, me gustan más los deportes, entonces los fines de semana juego
basketball con mis amigos.

B: Genial, aunque yo soy todo lo contrario, soy muy buena con las manualidades, pero no tanto
con los deportes. Solía jugar volleyball en la escuela, pero no duró mucho.

A: Yo también jugué volleyball, pero supongo que me gusta más el basketball. Y la clase de arte era
mi peor clase.

B: Oh, no creo que seas tan malo.

A: No, lo juro, el arte definitivamente no es lo mío. Me gusta verlo, pero no hacerlo.

B: Lo entiendo, supongo que no es para todo el mundo. Como me ocurre a mí con los deportes.
