En el epílogo de su aclamada guía y autobiografía Mientras escribo (On Writing), el escritor

Stephen King cuyas obras han sido adaptadas innumerables veces al cine, comparte una lista
de 96 libros que todo aspirante a escritor debe leer, en los que se encuentran libros de ficción y
no ficción.

Acompaña la lista con la siguiente explicación:

Estos son los libros que he leído en los últimos 3 o 4 años, el periodo durante el cual escribí  The
Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Hearts in Atlantis, On Writing,y  From a Buick Eight aún sin
publicar. De una manera u otra, sospecho que cada libro en la lista tiene una influencia en los
libros que he escrito.

Mientras revisas la lista, por favor recuerda que no soy Oprah y este no es mi club de lectura.
Son sólo los libros que funcionaron para mí, eso es todo. Pero podría ser peor, y muchos de
estos libros muestran nuevas formas de trabajar. Y si no lo hacen, al menos son entretenidos.
Ciertamente me entretuvieron.
