1. CARACTERÍSTICAS
El demultiplexor de iluminación (DMX), ofrece 192 canales de control,
para iluminación profesional con cualquier luminaria que tenga entrada para DMX todos sus
botones y selectores le permitirán elegir la secuencia de iluminación que desea e incluso
en lámparas tipo RGB se puede configurar el color o secuencia de colores de luz emitida
por las luminarias.
La salida de control de iluminación del DMX es por medio de un conector XLR hembra y la
alimentación es por medio de un convertidor de voltaje incluido.

1. Botones selectores de escáner: Selección del equipo.
2. LEDs indicadores de escáner: indica el equipo seleccionado actualmente.
3. Botones selectores de escena: Indican la localización para el almacenamiento y la
selección de escenas.
4. Controles deslizables de canal: Para ajustar valores DMX, estos controles pueden hacer
ajustes inmediatamente de los canales 1 al 8 después de que se ha seleccionado el equipo
correspondiente con el botón selector de escáner. Los canales 9 al 16 se podrán ajustar
después de oprimir el botón selector de página.
5. Indicador LED de página A: Indica que están seleccionados los canales 1 al 8.
6. Indicador LED de página B: Indica que están seleccionados los canales 9 al 16.

7. Botón selector de página: En el modo manual, presione para saltar entre las páginas de
control, o para seleccionar ambas páginas simultáneamente. Ambos LEDs encendidos
indican el acceso para controlar el rango bajo y alto de canales.
8. Botón de programa: Ingresa a la modalidad de programación.
9. Botón de copiado Music/Bank (Música/Banco): utilizado para activar la modalidad de
música y sirve también como comando de copia durante la programación.
10. Pantalla LCD: Esta pantalla despliega los datos correspondientes al parámetro
seleccionado.
11. LEDs indicadores de modalidad: Indican el estado de la modalidad de operación (ma-
nual, música o auto).
12 y 13. Botones para incrementar/disminuir banco (Bank up/Bank down): Sirven para pasar
de escenas/pasos en bancos o secuencias.
14. Botón para señalar velocidad (Tap): Este control Tap/Sync marca el ritmo de
reproducción y durante la programación, cambia el valor DMX desplegado en el visor LCD
a porcentajes.
15. Botón de oscuridad total (blackout): Pone en cero el valor de intensidad de todas las
luminarias, para un efecto de oscuridad total.
16. Botón Midi/Agregar (Midi/Add): Activa el control Midi Externo y confirma los procesos de
record/save (registro/grabación).
17. Botón Auto/Borrar (Auto/Del): Activa la modalidad automática y también funciona como
tecla de borrado durante la programación.
3. Conecte los cables DMX hacia los equipos de iluminación como se describe
en el manual de cada equipo.

3.2 Direccionando los equipos de iluminación
El DMX está diseñado para controlar hasta 16 canales de DMX por cada equipo,
por lo tanto, los equipos que desee controlar con los botones “scanner” deben tener
separación de 16 canales.

Por favor, consulte el manual de sus equipos de iluminación para obtener las
instrucciones de direccionamiento DMX.
Estos controles cambiarán los atributos del equipo de iluminación, como por
ejemplo color, figura, etc. Presione PAGE SELECTOR (selector de página) para
modificar los canales 9 al 16 con los FADERS.
4. Para pasar al siguiente equipo, presione el botón SCANNER que acaba de
programar después seleccione otro botón SCANNER.
5. Repita los pasos 2 a 4 hasta que obtenga la vista que desee.

6. Pulse el botón Midi/Add para preparar el almacenamiento.
3. Localice la escena de destino en el programa BANK. Utilice las flechas BANK UP/
DOWN para navegar entre los programas.
La acción de borrado de escena es en realidad una acción de reajustar a ceros todos los
canales DMX disponibles en la memoria de escena. La localización “física” de la memoria de
escena, permanece.
2. Seleccione el banco que desea copiar usando las flechas de navegación BANK
UP/DOWN.

3.6.2 Reproduciendo en el modo de activación por sonido.
1. Presione el botón Music/Bank-copy hasta que el LED Music se encienda.
2. Cambie los programas del banco utilizando las flechas BANK UP /DOWN de ser
necesario.
3. Presione el botón Music/Bank-copy para salir.
En el modo de activación por sonido, los programas serán cambiados por el sonido usando
el micrófono interno.
Todas las escenas en un banco se mostrarán en secuencia.
En el modo automático, los programas serán cambiados de acuerdo con los ajustes de
los controles FADE TIME y SPEED. Todas las escenas de un banco serán reproducidas en la
secuencia.
PRECAUCIÓN: El ajuste del FADE TIME nunca deberá ser más lento que el ajuste de Velocidad
(SPEED), o la escena nunca completará su ejecución.
5. Presione y sostenga el botón PROGRAM durante 3 segundos para salir del modo
de programación.

3.8.3 Reproducción de secuencias (Chases) por medio
de música.
1. Presione cualquiera de los botones CHASE
4. PROBLEMAS Y SOLUCIONES
La unidad no enciende o la lámpara no emite luz.
1. Verifique que el cable de corriente esté conectado correctamente, que el interruptor
de encendido de la lámpara esté activado y que el indicador luminoso LED esté
encendido.
2. Revise el estado del fusible de la unidad. Para evitar una descarga eléctrica,
desconéctela antes.
3. Cerciórese de que la lámpara (foco) esté en buenas condiciones. (La lámpara
podría apagarse completamente cuando la unidad esté en modo “Blackout”).
4. Algunas lámparas de descarga no encienden inmediatamente después de una falla
en el suministro eléctrico. Espere aproximadamente 10 minutos para encender el
equipo.
5. El equipo podría haber sufrido un sobrecalentamiento, por lo que la protección
térmica se activa. Deje que se enfríe la unidad, verifique que el sitio donde está insta-
lada esté bien ventilado y que las rejillas de ventilación no se encuentren obstruidas.

La unidad no responde a señales DMX
1. Asegúrese de que el indicador luminoso LED esté encendido. Si no es así, verifique
las conexiones DMX, los cables y las conexiones a lo largo de la cadena.
5. Compruebe que los cables que transportan la señal DMX no estén tendidos cerca de
cables que conduzcan alto voltaje, pues esto podría causar interferencia en la señal
o dañar

1. HIGHLIGHTS
The DMX offers you 192 control channels, perfect for professional applications.
It is compatible with any lamp with DMX option. All the buttons and controls will
help you to select the required lighting sequence, furthermore, you can choose
the colour or sequence with RGB lamps.
The output is through a XLR female connector, and the power input is by the
included power adapter.

1. Device selection buttons.
3. Scene selection buttons: indicate the storage location and the scene selection.
4 Sliding channel controls to adjust settings DMX, these controls adjustments may be made
immediately the channels 1 to 8 once the corresponding team with scanner selector button
has been selected. Channel 9 to 16 can be adjusted after press the selector button on page.
9. Music/Bank copy button: use to activate music mode and also serves as backup
command during programming.
10. LCD screen: displays the data for the selected parameter.
11. Mode LED indicators: indicate the status of operation mode (manual, music or auto).
14. Use Tap/Sync control to mark the playback rhythm, and during programming changes
the displayed value to percentages.
15. Blackout button: sets the intensity value of all the luminaires to zero, creating a total
darkness effect.
17 Button Auto / Delete (Auto / of the) used to activate the mode automatically and also as
key deletion during the programming.
19. Transition speed: this control sets the duration time of a scene or step in a sequence.
20. Transition time: determines the transition time between two sessions or two scenes in
a sequence.
3. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Adjusting system
1. Place the DMX on a stable surface. Remember that the DMX also can be
placed on a rack to occupy three spaces.
2. Connect the ac or dc power supply on the rear panel and to the main power
supply.
3. Connect the DMX cables toward the lighting equipment as described in the
manual of each device.

3.2 Addressing the lighting equipment
The DMX is designed to control up to 16 DMX channels for each device therefore
lamps that you want to control with the “SCANNER” buttons of the controller must
have a 16 channel separation.

Please consult the manual of your lighting equipment for DMX addressing
instructions.
The above table indicates the configuration on a device running a standard binary
dipswitch (multiple switch).

3.3 Programming
A bank is a sequence of different scenes (or steps) that will be called one after
another. In the DMX you can create up to 30 programs with 8 scenes each.
Entering programming mode
These controls change the attributes of the lighting device, such as color and
pattern. Click PAGE SELECTOR to have access to 9 to 16 channels with the
FADERS.
4. To go to the next device, press the SCANNER button you just programmed and
select another SCANNER button to control.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you get the view you want.

6. Press the Midi/Add button to prepare the storage.
8. Select SCENES button to store. All LEDs will blink three times. The LCD screen
will display stored Bank and Scene numbers.
9. Repeat steps 2 to 8 to store more scenes.
Cancel the Blackout function if the LED is turned on.
• A SCANNER button represents lighting equipment.
• You can access the 9 channels to 16 by pressing the Page Select button. This is required on
devices using more than 8 control channels.
• After changing page, you need to slide the Faders to activate them.
• There are 8 scenes available on each bank.
2. Locate the scene at the BANK program. Use the BANK UP/DOWN arrows to
navigate between Bank programs.
4. Locate the destination scene on BANK program. Use the BANK UP/DOWN
arrows to navigate between programs.
5. Click on the Midi/Add button and then the button of the new scene where you
want to copy.
The action of deleting of scene is actually an action of reset to zeros all DMX channels available
in the memory of the scene. The “physical” location of the scene memory remains.
1. Turn off the controller. Press and hold the PROGRAM and
BANK (DOWN) buttons while you turn on the controller.

3.4.6 Copy a bank
1. Press the PROGRAM button for 3 seconds.
2 Locate the BANK program. Use the BANK UP/DOWN arrows to navigate between
programs of Bank.
4 Locate the destination BANK program. Use the BANK UP/DOWN arrows to
navigate between programs of Bank.
The LCD screen will flash indicating that the copy was done successfully.
7. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for three seconds to store the sequence.
2. Select the Bank you want to copy using the BANK UP/DOWN buttons.
2. Press the CHASE (1 to 6) which contains the scene you want to delete.

Remember that we use the terms “scene” and “step” without difference.

3.5.5 Delete a sequence (Chase)
1. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 3 seconds.
2. Press the CHASE (1 to 6) which you want to delete.
3. Hold down the AUTO button and the button that corresponds to the sequence
(CHASE) and then release to delete the sequence. All LEDs will blink 3 times.
Programmed scenes remain in the controller. It affects only the sequence.
Warning: This procedure can cause the loss of all sequences (Chase) programming. However, all
the memories of scene will remain unchanged.
1. Press and hold the buttons DOWN BANK and AUTO of the
while the controller is turned off.
3. The time between scenes can be adjusted by moving the SPEED fader and the
length by adjusting the FADE TIME control.
4. You can change banks during the operation, using the BANK UP /DOWN arrows.
In auto mode, the programs will be changed according to the FADE TIME and SPEED controls
settings. All the scenes of a Bank shall be reproduced in the sequence.
Caution: The FADE TIME setting never should be slower that SPEED adjustment or the scene
never will be completed.

3.8 Sequence playback
3.8.1 Manual sequence playback
This function allows the user to manually move between sequence steps (scenes).
1. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 3 seconds to enter the programming
mode.
5. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 3 seconds to exit programming mode.
2. Press and release the AUTO/Del button. The corresponding LED will turn on.

3.8.3 Sound activated sequence playback
1. Press any of the CHASE buttons.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING
The unit does not turn on, or the lamp does not emit
1. Check that the power cord firmly connected, the switch of the lamp is activated and
the LED indicator is switched on.
2. Check the unit fuse. To avoid electrical shock, disconnect the unit before doing this.
3. Make sure that the lamp is in good condition. The lamp could shut down completely
when the unit is in “Blackout” mode.
4. Some discharge lamps do not lit immediately after a power outage. Wait about 10
minutes to turn on the device.
5. The device could be overheated and thermal protected. Let it cool, verify that the site
where it is installed is well ventilated and that the vents are not blocked.

The unit does not respond to DMX signals
1. Ensure that the LED indicator is switched on. If it is not, check the DMX connections,
cables and connections along the chain.
3. If you encounter intermittent problems in the DMX signal, inspect the contacts on the
connection ports to look for the the fault, as well as the previous device in the chain.
5. Make sure that cables that carry the DMX signal are not lying near high voltage
cables, these could cause interference with the signal or permanently damage the DMX
interface due to electrical induction.
2. Check that the microphone of the unit is working, tapping the microphone with your
fingers.
