Hi Tom!

Thanks for your e-mail. I’m sorry to hear you didn’t have fun at your grandparent’s place.
I went on vacation to Costa Rica with Mom, Dad, my brother Bruno, and my sister Isabel.
We stayed at a hotel near the Caribbean Sea. It had a fantastic restaurant. We tried new food every day. The fish was
great!

Our first day was extremely hot, so I sunbathed for hours. Bruno went to the beach, and he surfed until it got dark. He
was so good at it! Dad watched him, but he didn’t want to surf. He can’t swim! I didn’t swim in the ocean either
because I’m scared of sharks! I swam in the hotel swimming pool instead. I just sat next to the pool, and I ate
delicious ice cream!

Mom and Isabel didn’t sunbathe or sit on the beach. They did exciting things. On our last day there, they went hiking
in the Cahuita National Park. It’s a small park with a lot of animals.
