 Se factorizan los monomios y polinomios.

 Se escribe el m . c . m de los monomios y polinomios como producto de los factores
comunes y no comunes con su mayor exponente.

EJEMPLOS.- Hallar elm . c . m de los monomios y polinomios siguientes:

1. 2 a , 4 x .−8
2 a=2a
4 x−8=4 (x−2) FCM
m . c . m = 4 a( x−2)

2. x 2 y , x2 y + xy 2
x 2 y =x2 y
x 2 y + xy 2=xy (x + y ) FCM
m . c . m=x 2 y ( x + y )

3. 6 a 2 b , 3 a2 b2 +6 a b 3
6 a 2 b=2∙ 3 a2 b
3 a2 b2 +6 a b 3=3 a b2 ( a+2 b ) FCM
m . c . m=2∙ 3 a2 b2 ( a+2 b ) =6 a2 b2 ( a+2 b )

4. 6 ab , x 2−4 xy+ 4 y 2 , 9 a2 x−18 a2 y

6 ab=2 ∙3 ab
