Daniela: Hola, eres el chico nuevo?

Dwiner: si, como están? Ustedes son de este salon?

Juan Diego: por supuesto, bien y tu?

Daniela: lo supuse, muy bien y tu? Cual es tu nombre?

Dwiner: ah si, disculpen por no presentarme antes, soy dwiner el estudiante de intercambio

Daniela: hola otra vez, soy Daniela un placer

Juan Diego: y yo juan diego mucho gusto

Daniela: de donde eres tu?

Dwiner: soy de mexico

Juan Diego: maravilloso, me gusta mucho su cultura y costumbres

Daniela: totalmente de acuerdo, quisiera poder ir a conocer todo! ¿Por que no nos cuentas un
poco acerca de ese festival del dia de los muertos que celebran allá?

Juan Diego: Sí! He tenido la oportunidad de ver videos y fotos acerca de su celebración y es muy
atractiva

Dwiner: Las luces, colores, música y comida favorita de los fallecidos inundan cada año los
cementerios de México. Otros colocan altares con ofrendas para recordar a los muertos
colocando cráneos como símbolos de la muerte y el renacimiento.

Daniela: que chevere! Son demasiado llamativos los colores de toda la decoración y los trajes que
se colocan para celebrar en los desfiles.

Dwiner: asi es, hacemos desfiles, ubicando pétalos y montando ofrendas con fotografías a los
difuntos, a quienes preparan sus bebidas y alimentos preferidos. Todo esto forma parte
inseparable de la identidad mexicana, como los tacos, el tequila, el picante, el mariachi y la virgen
de la Guadalupe.

Juan Diego: creo que será mi próximo destino para vacacionar! Porque acá en Colombia lo mas
cercano al dia de los muertos es Halloween pero no se ve asi como allá

Dwiner: que hacen ustedes en ese dia y que dia lo celebran?

Daniela: Acá se celebra el 31 de octubre a diferencia de ustedes, esta fiesta está enfocada
principalmente en los niños y por eso es común que las calles de las ciudades se llenen de niños
disfrazados de sus personajes favoritos, comiendo y pidiendo dulces

Dwiner: me parece muy bien, ustedes se disfrazan?

Juan Diego: a veces, para ir a fiestas de disfraces, para mayores claro esta jajajaja
Daniela: deberíamos salir juntos este próximo Halloween, les parece?

Juan Diego: Perfecto, dwiner te animas a venir con nosotros?

Dwiner: claro que sí, no me lo quiero perder

Daniela: okey esperamos que nos cambies de opinión

Dwiner: no se preocupen, me apunto desde ya, me parece genial conocer las tradiciones de
lugares nuevos

Juan Diego: te van a agradar las fiestas, ya verás

Dwiner: si

Daniela: chicos ya llegó el maestro, tomen sus lugares

Dwiner: cierto, seguimos hablando despues de clases

Juan Diego: ok, listo

every year. Others place altars with offerings to remember the dead by placing skulls as symbols of
death and rebirth.

Daniela: how cool! The colors of all the decorations and the costumes that are put on to celebrate
in the parades are too flashy.

Dwiner: that's right, we do parades, placing petals and mounting offerings with photographs to the
deceased, to whom they prepare their favorite drinks and foods. All of this is an inseparable part
of the Mexican identity, such as tacos, tequila, picante, mariachi and the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Juan Diego: I think it will be my next vacation destination! Because here in Colombia the closest
thing to the day of the dead is Halloween, but it doesn't look like it does there.

Dwiner: what do you do on that day and what day do you celebrate it?

Daniela: Here it is celebrated on October 31 unlike you, this party is mainly focused on children
