1. DBA: Reconoce información específica relacionada con objetos, personas y animales.

2. Objetivos:
a. Reconocer y utilizar correctamente el verbo CAN en sus diversas formas.
b. Expresar habilidades e inhabilidades de las personas y los animales mediante el uso
correcto del verbo CAN.

3. CONTENIDOS:
VERBO CAN:

El verbo Can se utiliza para expresar habilidad o inhabilidad, capacidad para realizar o no, alguna
actividad. EJEMPLO:

I can play the guitar. (yo puedo tocar la guitarra)


I can’t play the piano. (no se tocar el piano)
My dad can write poems. (mi papá puede o sabe escribir poemas)
The cat can´t eat bones. (El gato no puede comer huesos)
Can the dog drink water? Yes, it can No, it can’t (¿Puede el perro beber agua? Si, él puede)
She can speak six languages. (Ella puede hablar 6 idiomas)
They can’t play basquetball very well. (Ellos no pueden jugar basquetbol muy bien)
Etc.

REGLAS:

Affirmative Form: S+V+C : Martha can sing very well.


Negative Form: S+CAN+NEG+V+C : Martha cannot sing very well.
Interrogative form: CAN+S+V+C? Can Martha sing very well?
Short Answers: Yes/no+S+CAN/CAN’T: Yes, she can. No, she can’t

NOTA: El verbo CAN se utiliza de la misma forma con todas las personas, no se agrega “S” en las
terceras, es un error.
El verbo CAN no admite el uso de “TO”, es un error.
I can to play. (Error) I can play. (Correct form)

Hi! I am Pete. I can ride bicycle, but I can’t ride horse. I can play the guitar, but I can’t
play the piano. I can speak Spanish and English, but I can’t speak Chinese. I can swim
very well, but I can’t sing. I can dance and run, but I can’t sky. I can play basquetball, but
I can’t play tennis.
Hi! I am Mary I can play tennis, but I can’t play football. I can play the piano, but I can’t
play the guitar. I can speak English and French, but I can’t speak German. I can ride
bicycle and I can ride a horse too. I can’t swim. I can run very fast, but I can’t dance. I can
sing very well.

Describe what they can do and what they can’t do. (Use sentences)
5. Describe what you can do and what you can’t do. (Write a short paragraph)
