La Voz Activa y LA Voz Pasiva (2) (1°-2-201)
1. La Voz Activa
Al tratar el tema de la Voz Activa (VA) y la Voz Pasiva (VP) en inglés, se menciona a la
estructura de las palabras, frases, oraciones y orden de las palabras (Sintaxis). El léxico
sintaxis procede del griego sýntaxis, que significa con orden y estudia todo lo que está ligado a
la oración, las relaciones de las palabras en la oración, el orden de las palabras.
La voz activa y la voz pasiva son dos maneras de presentar la misma situación
enfocándola desde perspectivas diferentes. En el caso de la voz activa, nos interesa la persona
responsable de la acción del verbo, es decir, el agente (sujeto). La voz activa se compone de
quien realiza la acción, seguida del verbo en el tiempo correspondiente y el objeto que recibe
la acción. Son las oraciones más comunes en español y expresado en forma escrita.
1. Michael watched the last chapter of Vikings. (VA en tiempo pasado = watched).
2. Lisbeth builds the doll house.
3. The police questioned some young boys.
4. Hernest Hemmingway will write some love letters to Elizabeth, Pauline, Martha and
Mary.
5. We can observe the annular eclipse of the sun on June 10.
6. George Harrison played My Sweet Lord.
7. Ragnar Lodbrok sailed many miles to England and France.
8. Hank Aaron hit 755 homeruns.
9. Michael Hisrt wrote Vikings.
10. The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine caused the death of Hank Aaron.

Ejemplos de inglés instrumental:
1. Some scholars define cities as a specific form of human association that can be
characterized based upon criteria of population size, built-environment form, and
economic function.

las realizan, ella resulta ser más adecuada que la activa para todo tipo de narración, sin dar a
entender que los agentes sean absolutamente irrelevantes. Asimismo, se puede deducir los que
no se mencionan, gracias al contexto donde se ubican.
