My favorite movie is called "The Soloist".

a journalist going through a bad creative time working for the L.A. Times, along
with his ex-wife Mary (Catherine Keener), he meets Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie
Foxx), a schizophrenic homeless man who plays his two-string violin Lopez
(Robert Downey) approaches Ayers with the idea that it might be the story he
needs for his column, so he decides to investigate it and finds that he was a
prominent student at the prestigious Juilliard School. Lopez then decides to help
him get his life back and discover the causes that led a brilliant musician to end
up in the streets in such a way, thus creating a friendship that will change their
lives.
This film is based on real events, it is a drama film and is also thoughtful,
nominated for several international awards and winner of Best Film - Mental
Health.
