RESUMEN

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo fundamental analizar las relaciones manteni­
das por las distintas dimensiones del MBI con diversas variables de carácter socio-demográ­
fico y con la satisfacción laboral y el compromiso organizacional, esto último mediante el
desan-ollo de modelos de ecuaciones estructurales. La muestra incluye 91 profesores pertene­
cientes a enseñanza primaria, secundaria y docentes universitarios. Los modelos propuestos
apuntan la importancia de las variables actitudinales como antecedentes de las tres dimensio­
nes del síndrome.

ABSTRACT

This paper studies the relationships between dimensions of the Maslach Bumout Inventory,
socio-demographic variables, work satisfaction and organizational commitment using struc­
tural equations models. The sample consists of 91 teachers of primary, secondary and college
education. Results show the relevance of job attitudes as antecedents of the three bumout
dimensions.
