Santiago lives in a very hot city. for this reason,
he has a shower twice day (sometimes three
times in a day when it is very hot): in the
morning before school and when he arrives
home. sometimes he have a shower before
going to bed. he also wash his hair every day
because of the temperature. he only brush his
teeth twice a day because he can´t do it at
school. in hot weather nails grow faster, so he
cut his nails twice a week. se, as you can see,
routines can be different for many people.

divorce and i´m finishing school this year. i
can't concentrate when i study and can never
finish my homework. i feel too sad to motivate
myself. i have a horrible feeling in my stomach

can i do?

there used to be a lot of bullying at my school
and nothing was done to stop it. i used to have
only friend at school, simon, and we were
bullied a lot. i was so scared that i never
played football at lunch times and some days i
wasn´t able to go to the toilet by myself. it was
really bad! then, one day our school
introduced this amazing new bullying
prevention program called kiva. it was
developed in finland by expert psychologists.
the results from their research showed that
most bullies behaved badly to get attetion
from the people watching, who in most cases,
wasnt helping the victims, but was making the
problem worse by laughing and encouraging
the bully. so we were given kiva classes where
we were shown how to be more empathetic
and given strategies and ideas about how to
stop bullying. kiva doesnt focus on the victim,
or the bully, but instead it empowers the
person watching so they can stop bullies. now
i am really happy. Ignoring or laughing at
bullying is no longer accepted at my school.

esta razón, se baña dos veces al día (a veces
tres veces en un día cuando hace mucho
calor): por la mañana antes de la escuela y
cuando llega a casa. A veces se da una ducha
antes de acostarse. También se lava el pelo
todos los días por la temperatura. solo se lava
los dientes dos veces al día porque no puede
hacerlo en la escuela. en climas cálidos las
uñas crecen más rápido, por lo que se corta las
uñas dos veces por semana. Como se puede
ver, las rutinas pueden ser diferentes para
muchas personas.
¡estoy muy estresado! Mis padres se están

solía haber mucha intimidación en mi escuela

you should do is try to solve the problem
yourself. if this doesn't work, then you should
talk to someone else like a parent, teacher, or
a friend. you shouldn't have to face bullying
alone. it's important to know that bullies want
you to react. they love making you sad, angry
or scared. so the best way to stop them is by
not giving them the reaction they want.
different strategies to stop a bully include:
 walking away when a bully approaches
you.
 ignoring them by thinking about
something else.
 giving a one-line response and then
walking away.
some one-line response include:
 whatever!
 do you feel better now?
 why are you talking to me?
remember, when you walk away calmy, you
take the power away from the bully. finally, if
you have tried to solve the problem yourself
and the bully continues to annoy you, then
you should definitely tell an adult. talking to a
parent or a teacher will not only help you
solve the problem, but it will also help you feel
less afraid. be confident, be positive, be strong
and things willget better!

muy preocupados por una que vive en nuestro

than larger cities. Villa de leyva is a favourite
with tourists given that it is probably one of
the most picturesque towns in the country.

towns in colombia and has the biggest town
square in the country. with a population of
only 16,478 people and an area of 128 year
and an average temperature of 17°C.
cartagena, the most touristic city in colombia
was founded in 1533 and is one of the oldest
cities in the country. located on the caribbean
coast, it is popular with people wanting to
relax on the beach or people wanting to
explore the old walled city which is the most
interesting and most historical part of the city.

an area of 572 km2, some people find outside
