El procedimiento seguido es el siguiente:

Con los datos del replanteo se tienen las distancias horizontales entre torres
o lo que es la longitud del vano y las cotas de las torres con lo que se
obtiene la diferencia de nivel entre torres, con ello se calcula la distancia LE,
la cual es la distancia inclinada entre torres como se muestra en la figura 1.

Con esta distancia y si se conoce el peso del cable y su tensión, se aplica la

ecuación de la catenaria con lo cual se tendrá la longitud real de la catenaria
entre dos torres.

Una vez definida la longitud real del cable entre las torres, se sumaron las
longitudes parciales entre tramos de carrete para definir la longitud del
carrete, en cada torre inicial y final del tramo se adiciono 50 metros de cable
para tener en cuenta la longitud de cable que baja al piso para la ejecución
de los empalmes, y así tener la longitud necesaria del carrete.
