INDUSTRIAL
In Latin it is where we find the etymological origin of the two words that give form to the term
industrial security that now occupies us. In particular, we find the fact that security emanates
from the term securitas that can be defined as "quality of being careless". Mean while,
industrial comes from the Latin industry that is translated as "industriousness" and that is
conformed by the union of the prefix indu -, the verb struo that is synonymous of "construct"
and the suffix - ia that indicates quality.
Industrial safety is a multidisciplinary area that is responsible for minimizing the risks in the
industry . Part of the assumption that all industrial activity has inherent dangers that need
proper management.
The main risks in the industry are linked to accidents , which can have an important
environmental impact and damage entire regions, even beyond thecompany where the
accident occurs.
In particular, we can establish that when talking about industrial safety it is necessary to
specify that it is developed specifically to prevent possible situations and risks that occur in
areas where you work with refrigeration facilities, electricity, fuel gaseous, refrigeration or
pressure equipment.
