I don´t eat meat. – No como carne.
Present continuous: ACCIONES ahora mismo, temporales (no
habituales), futuro cuando acompañado de una expresión de tiempo futuro
This week I am studying English. – Esta semana estudio inglés.
Are you watching this program? – ¿Estás viendo esta programa?
I´m having lunch with Sally tomorrow.- Mañana como con Sally.
Present perfect simple: acciones, situaciones, eventos, periodos de tiempo
y cuentas sin acabar.
I have worked here for 3 years. – Llevo 3 años trabajando aquí.
I have written three articles so far this year. – He escrito tres artículos
hasta ahora este año.
Have you ever been to Venice? – ¿Estuviste alguna vez en Venecia?
I haven´t seen that film yet. – Aun no ví esta película.
Present Perfect Continuous:
Duración y continuidad de ACCIONES que empezaron en el pasado y
continuan en el presente
I have been working here for six months – Llevo seis meses trabajando
aquí
I´ve been wondering what to do next year- He estado pensando en que
hacer el año que viene.
Past simple: acciones o situaciones terminadas, 2º condicional
I ate a steak yesterday. – Comí un chuletón ayer.
Did you see the match yesterday? - ¿Viste el partido ayer?
Past perfect: pasado anterior, 3º condicional (hubiera) y pasado del
present perfect.
When I arrived, I noticed that someone had left the door open.- Cuando
llegué me di cuenta que alguien había dejado la puerta abierta
If I had known the truth, I would never have come back.-Si hubiese sabido
no habría vuelto.
Past perfect continuous: pasado anterior, (3º condicional hubiera estado
…), pasado del present perfect continuous
I had been driving for an hour when I realised that I had forgotten my
wallet.-Llevaba una hora conduciendo cuando me di cuenta que me había
olvidado la cartera.
If you had been talking, I wouldn’t have interrupted you. – Si tu hubieses
estado hablando no te habría interrumpido.
Future simple: futuro no seguro, para expresar voluntad, 1º condicional
I’ll bring you the book. – Te traigo el libro.
I will probably call you tomorrow – Es probable que te llame mañana
Do you think you will go to France in the summer? - Crees que irás a
francia en verano?
Future - Going to: Intención
I am going to study English tomorrow. – Voy a estudiar inglés mañana.
Are you going to buy the car? - ¿Vas a comprar el coche?
Estados que no se suele expresar en tiempos continuos:
Mental States: to believe, doubt, know, realise, recognise, suppose, think,
understand
Wants and likes: want, need, like, love, hate, prefer
Possession: belong, have, possess, own
Senses: feel, smell, taste.
