Elysium

es una película de ciencia ficción de origen estadounidense dirigida por Neill Blomkamp, su
ambiente se basa en un futuro cercano en el que la Tierra tiene graves problemas contaminación,
se desarrolla en el año 2154, donde los ricos viven en una estación espacial llamada Elysium, que
tiene su propia atmósfera, aire limpio, agua y todo lo necesario para vivir en forma segura,
saludable y confortable, cuenta con avanzadas capsulas médicas que curan todo tipo de
enfermedad , fue construida por la Corporación Armadyne, mientras que las personas de bajos
recursos viven en la Tierra que se encuentra superpoblada, arruinada y afectados por varias
enfermedades, problemas de salud, incapacidad y enfermedades genéticas, afectada por el
cambio climático, la contaminación ambiental y desechos nucleares, radiación y aire
contaminado.

El protagonista es Max Da Costa un ex convicto que vive en las ruinas de Los Ángeles y trabaja en
las fábricas de Armadyne, él sufre una gran descarga de radiación por un accidente en el trabajo y
se entera que va a morir en cinco días y su única salvación es ir a la estación espacial y utilizar una
capsula médica para curarse por lo que acude a un viejo amigo llamado Spider que es un
contrabandista, quien se compromete a ayudarlo a infiltrarse en Elysium pero a cambio él le ayuda
a robar información de la mente del Jefe de Armadyne John Carlyle , para lo cual Max recibe
implantes mecánicos que aumentan su fuerza y un transmisor para transferir los códigos
directamente de la mente de Carlyle a la suya y poder pasárselos luego a Spider. Luego intercepta
el transbordador espacial de Carlyle, cuando despega de regreso a Elysium, con la ayuda de su
amigo y los hombres de Spider, y roba los datos de la mente de Carlyle. Al enterarse del ataque,
Delacourt secretaria de defensa de Elysium envía a Kruger un asesino profesional para rescatar a
Carlyle puesto que el llevaba un programa informático que puede reinicializar el software de
control de Elysium y hacer que la Corporación Armadyne controle totalmente a Elysium como una
dictadura reemplazando a su presidente Patel el cual ha tenido fuertes enfrentamientos con
Delacourt porque está en desacuerdo con sus métodos para eliminar a los inmigrantes ilegales
que intentan llegar a Elysium y utilizar sus avanzados capsulas médicas y amenaza con despedirla,
además de despedir a Kruger.

Durante el enfrentamiento de max y kruger , Carlyle muere por una bala perdida y max logra
escapar con la información , luego busca Frey una amiga de la infancia con la que se había
reencontrado días anteriores , que trabaja como enfermera en un hospital y tiene una hija que
está muriendo de leucemia, ella lo ayuda pero le pide que lleve a su hija para que se cure también
a lo cual él se niega, Spider más tarde le dice a Max que Delacourt lo estaba buscando, y que
podrían utilizar el programa para reescribir la configuración de Elysium y que todos los habitantes
de la Tierra, se conviertan en ciudadanos también para poder vivir en Elysium, pero Max se niega
porque demoraría mucho tiempo revelar la clave de la información en su cerebro, que está
codificada, por lo que negocia con Kruger para que él sea llevado a Elysium a cambio del
programa, pero al subirse al trasbordador se entera que Frey y su hija fueron capturadas por
Kruger .en el viaje justo antes de aterrizar en Elysium, Max se enfrenta a Kruger y la nave se
estrella en Elysium, ahí son capturados por Delacourt, que se prepara para sacar el programa de la
mente de Max con pero Kruger la traiciona matándola cuando esta le reprochaba por no
completar la misión de manera discreta.
Max escapa y se reúne con Spider, que llega a Elysium para ayudarlo. Entonces, luchando juntos,
matan a Kruger, y Max se sacrifica para cargar el programa en la torre de control de Elysium.
Spider luego hace a los seres humanos de la Tierra ciudadanos de Elysium, permitiéndole a Frey
utilizar una capsula médica para curar a su hija, mientras que otros se ponen en marcha a la Tierra
para localizar y ayudar a otros en su necesidad de ayuda médica.

Me gusto la película porque muestra una realidad a la que la tierra se puede enfrentar debido a la
contaminación. Porque al final los malos recibieron su merecido y pudo haber igualdad en todos
los habitantes y porque muestra que aun personas interesadas en buscar un cambio positivo que
beneficie a todos y son capaces de sacrificarse por crear un mejor futuro.

No me gusto porque sigue resaltando que en un futuro se sigue viendo como las clases altas
pisotean a las clases bajas y crean un imperio egoísta y porque el protagonista alguien bueno que
solo quería curarse tuvo que morir para que hubiera un cambio para los demás habitantes.

Elysium  is a science fiction film of American origin directed by Neill Blomkamp, its

The protagonist is Max Da Costa an ex-convict who lives in the ruins of Los Angeles and
works in the factories of Armadyne, he suffers a great discharge of radiation by an
accident at work and finds out that he is going to die in five days and his only salvation is
to go to the space station and use a medical capsule to cure him so he goes to an old
friend named Spider who is a smuggler, who agrees to help him infiltrate into Elysium but
in return he helps him steal information from the mind of the Chief of Armadyne John
Carlyle, for which Max receives mechanical implants that increase his strength and a
transmitter to transfer the codes directly from the mind of Carlyle to his and to be able to
pass them to Spider to them. He then intercepts Carlyle's space shuttle, as he takes off
back to Elysium, with the help of his friend and Spider's men, and steals the data from
Carlyle's mind. Upon learning of the attack, Delacourt Elysium defense secretary sends
Kruger a professional assassin to rescue Carlyle since he was carrying a computer
program that can reinitialize Elysium's control software and make the Armadyne
Corporation totally control Elysium as a dictatorship replacing its president Patel who has
had strong clashes with Delacourt because he disagrees with his methods to eliminate the
illegal immigrants who try to reach Elysium and use their advanced medical capsules and
threatens to fire her, in addition to firing Kruger.

During the confrontation of max and kruger, Carlyle dies by a lost bullet and max manages
to escape with the information, soon it looks for Frey a friend of the childhood with whom it
was reunited previous days, that works like nurse in a hospital and has a daughter who is
dying of leukemia, she helps him but asks him to take his daughter to heal himself too
which he refuses, Spider later tells Max that Delacourt was looking for him, and that they
could use the program to rewrite the configuration of Elysium and that all the inhabitants of
the Earth, become citizens also to be able to live in Elysium, but Max refuses because it
would take a long time to reveal the key information in his brain, which is codified, so he
negotiates with Kruger so that he is taken to Elysium in exchange for the program, but
upon boarding the ferry he learns that Frey and his daughter were captured by Kruger on
the journey just before landing and n Elysium, Max confronts Kruger and the ship crashes
into Elysium, there they are captured by Delacourt, who prepares to take the program from
Max's mind with but Kruger betrays her by killing her when she reproaches him for not
completing the mission discreet way.
Max escapes and reunites with Spider, who arrives at Elysium to help him. Then, fighting
together, they kill Kruger, and Max sacrifices himself to load the program into the control
tower of Elysium. Spider then makes Earth humans citizens of Elysium, allowing Frey to
use a medical capsule to heal his daughter, while others set out to Earth to locate and help
others in their need for medical help.
I liked the movie because it shows a reality that the land can face due to pollution.
Because in the end the bad ones received their deserved and could have equality in all the
inhabitants and because it shows that even people interested in finding a positive change
that benefits all and are able to sacrifice themselves to create a better future.
I do not like it because it continues to emphasize that in the future it is still seen as the
upper classes trample the lower classes and create a selfish empire and because the
protagonist someone good who just wanted to heal had to die so that there was a change
for the other inhabitants.
