Present perfect: Meaning
• Is a form of past tense to describe the
actions occurred in the past but are still
connected/have relevance with present.
Ex: This week, I have worked a lot.
This morning Maria has spoken to my friend
in Canada.
• The construction in the above sentences
–consists of two parts
1. Auxiliary verb/Helping verb- To Have
2. Participle of the principal/main
verb-describes what is the action that has
taken place
