ABSTRACT
This article is based on the microbiological analysis of a UHT milk sample, for the
purpose of identifying the microbiological quality of this product, total and faecal
coliforms were determined using the multiple fermentation tube technique LMX
fluoroccult broth, Mesophyll aerobes in SPC agar and clostridium sulfite spores
reducing in SPS agar. The total coliform count was ≤3 bacteria /mL, faecal
coliforms of ≤3 bacteria /mL, mesophyll aerobes ≤10 CFU/mL and clostridium
sulfite reducing spores 10 CFU/ml. On the basis ofBased on the results obtained, it
was concluded t that the product complies with the microbiological food standard
in Colombia, considering it a product fit for human consumption.
