I´m a student and I go to Greenwich Market nearly every Sunday. It´s wonderful. There is
so much to choose from and it´s cheaper than the more famous Camden Market or
Portobello Road Market. I buy most of my clothes and CDs second-hand as I ´m trying to
save money. So the Village Market is perfect for me as it has everthing I need. I have even
bougth some 1950s chairs for may parents.
As I´m always flying around the world on business , I do most of my shopping at the aiport,
especially New York´s JFK Airport. There is something there for everyone. I like it because
there are branches of department stores as well as designer stores. But the best thing about
shopping at the aiport is the great service they offer. Whatever I buy, I don´t have to carry
my purchases with me. I can leave them at the collection desk at arrivals and collect them
when I return to New York.
When I visit New York, I love going shopping at Saks. It´s on New York´s most famous
shopping Street, 5th Avenue, so it´s easy to get to. With over six floors and thousands of
products to choose from, you are spoiled for choice. There really is something there for
everyone. The lastest fashion, technology, sports, design, and if you are tired after all that
shopping, you can relax at one of their many restaurants or coffe shops.

Hay mucho para elegir y es más barato que el más famoso Camden Market o Portobello
Road Market. Compro la mayor parte de mi ropa y CDs de segunda mano mientras estoy
tratando de ahorrar dinero. Así que el Village Market es perfecto para mí, ya que tiene todo
lo que necesito. Incluso tengo algunas sillas de la década de 1950 para padres de mayo.
Como siempre estoy volando alrededor del mundo por negocios, hago la mayoría de mis
compras en el aeropuerto, especialmente el Aeropuerto JFK de Nueva York. Hay algo allí
para todos. Me gusta porque hay sucursales de grandes almacenes, así como tiendas de
diseño. Pero lo mejor de ir de compras en el aeropuerto es el gran servicio que ofrecen. Lo
que sea que compre, no tengo que llevar mis compras conmigo. Puedo dejarlos en el
mostrador de recogida a las llegadas y recogerlos cuando regrese a Nueva York.
Cuando visito Nueva York, me encanta ir de compras a Saks. Está en la calle comercial
más famosa de Nueva York, la 5a Avenida, así que es fácil llegar. Con más de seis pisos y
miles de productos para elegir, usted está mimado para la elección. Realmente hay algo allí
para todos. La última moda, tecnología, deportes, diseño, y si estás cansado después de
todas esas compras, puedes relajarte en uno de sus muchos restaurantes o cafeterías.

Interviewer: Excused me maám, I´m doing a survey on shopping for Lifestyle magazine
Could I ask you a few questios about your shopping habits?
Woman: Yes, of course, I love shopping
Man: Don´t we all? OK, then, do you have a credit card?
Woman: Yes, actually I have two.
Man: Do you use them every time you go shopping?
Woman: I usually haved enough cash at the beginning of the month but towards the end
of the month, I have to use my credit cards most of the time.
Man: Oh no, I see your point. And what do you enjoy shopping for? Clothes, books, food?
Woman: Oh, shoes, definitely shoes.
Man: Do you spend a lot of money on them?
Woman: I can spend a fortune . The sky´s the limit, as they say.
Man: So I suppose you´re not one of those people who check and compare prices before
they buy?
Woman: Let me put it this way: when I really like something, the price won´t stop me from
getting it.
Man: I see, so you don´t consider the price at all.
Woman: Let´s just say, some things are worth paying for.
Man: Right, what about the quality?
Woman: That´s very important .
Man: Is it more important than the money you spend?
Woman: That´s right.
Man: Well, thank you very much for your time, ma´am.
Woman: Oh, it´s been a pleasure
