Introduction
On the subject of electronic engineering, we will find many types of devices that far away from
their own characteristics and their physical behaviors, they could also be used for certain functions.
Without realizing about them, they are in every electronic device that we frequently use every day.
In this case, we are going to focus on an specific device, the potentiometer.
The potentiometers allow us to graduate manually the electric potential with an adjustable voltage
divider, just as increasing the volume of a radio or graduating the voltage of a transformer.
cursor.

In this project we will perform an analysis about potentiometers, electronic devices that allow
varying the magnitude of its resistance by the rotation of an axis or the sliding of a cursor.
This analysis is done in order to study and understand the potentiometers, between its two existing
types: Linear taper and Logarithmic; comparing their characteristics and applications.
We’ll see experimentally the variability of the resistance in both potentiometers by using a
voltmeter in order to register the data, graphing their behavior and determining their characteristics.
Once we get the results, we would know the applications present in this device as much as
technology used in the electrical objects that are often used on our daily lives.
