Prólogo
Los retos planteados por una sociedad moderna, que se caracteriza por el valor creciente
que adquieren la información y el conocimiento para el desarrollo económico y social
del siglo XXI, requieren impulsar medidas que estimulen en la ciudadanía el aprendizaje
a lo largo de la vida, para mejorar sus conocimientos, competencias y aptitudes desde
una perspectiva personal, cívica, social y laboral, y para favorecer la cohesión social y la
igualdad de oportunidades.
Los principios metodológicos en los que se apoyan estos materiales vienen también
determinados por el tipo de aprendizaje que plantea la Ley Orgánica 2/2006, de 3 de mayo,
de Educación.
Esta serie de materiales curriculares, ideados para adecuar la oferta educativa a las
exigencias que plantea la educación para las personas adultas, se fundamenta en la Orden
EDU/1622/2009, por la que se regula la enseñanza básica, presencial y a distancia, en el
ámbito de gestión del Ministerio de Educación, en sus niveles de Enseñanzas Iniciales y de
Educación Secundaria Obligatoria.

Introducción
Esta Unidad didáctica hace hincapié en la importancia de la lengua inglesa en nuestra vida
cotidiana porque…
En esta Unidad didáctica elaboraremos un collage virtual sobre la presencia del inglés en nuestras
vidas y el enriquecimiento cultural que ello supone, y lo publicaremos en soporte digital.

Competencias básicas
Al trabajar esta Unidad didáctica, se contribuirá al desarrollo de las siguientes competencias básicas:
3. Competencia digital a través de redes sociales y otros recursos facilitados por Internet que
favorecen la interacción entre personas de todos los países y culturas, así como a través de
la elaboración de un collage en soporte digital, donde se reflejen todos los trabajos realiza-
dos durante la Unidad y que resaltan la importancia e influencia del inglés en nuestra vida
cotidiana.
b. Utilizar la lengua de forma oral en situaciones reales a través de la interacción con hablantes,
para tratar temas relacionados con acontecimientos representativos del país del alumnado,
realizando encuestas e interpretando la información obtenida.
c. Escribir información sencilla en inglés sobre aspectos de la vida diaria y las celebraciones en
países de habla inglesa, empleando para ello distintos soportes (posters, collages, diagramas
de barras).
d. Valorar la lengua extranjera como medio de comunicación con personas tanto de origen
anglosajón como del ámbito internacional, y mostrar interés e iniciativa en la realización de
intercambios en la lengua extranjera, utilizando tanto soporte papel como las redes sociales.
g. Mostrar interés por aprovechar las oportunidades de aprendizaje creadas en el contexto del
aula y fuera de ella, y por participar en actividades y trabajos grupales que desarrollen su
confianza para expresarse de manera oral y escrita en lengua inglesa.

Final task: Presence of English in our daily lives
Tarea final: Presencia del inglés en nuestras vidas
Collecting all the previous information, students make an on-line collage about
the presence of English in our daily lives and the enrichment it represents.
This collage will be later published on line (Youtube, for example) and on the
school’s website.
