Rafa: Good morning everyone, I’m Rafa and I’m from restrepo.

Where do you
come from?
stiven: Hello. I’m stiven and I live in Colombia. I usually come here to restrepo
every summer.
ricardo: Hey, I’m ricardo and I’m American. Welcome to the summer camp. I’m
the General Counselor. Let me tell you that we generally start the day with a music
activity.
Rafa: I like that because I sing and play the drums.
ricardo: Do you have a band?
Rafa. Yes, I have a music band in restrepo. I suppose that children here also play
instruments.
ricardo: Yeah, some of them do. Do you play any instrument, stiven?
stiven: No, I only dance.
ricardo: Perfect, so we can play music and dance with the campers. Let´s move on
to the afternoons, we usually practice some sports like tennis, soccer and baseball.
Rafa: Great. In my country, we love soccer.
stiven: In Colombia, we seldom play baseball but we like soccer too.
ricardo: Awesome! Children usually choose soccer. Nowadays, soccer is quite
popular here in the States. And in the evenings, campers build a campfire and tell
scary stories with the Outdoor Activities Staff. Do you like those stories?
stiven: Yes, I do.
Rafa: No, I don’t. I hate darkness and ghost stories.
ricardo: Don’t worry. In that case, we also have a karaoke contest.
Rafa: Sure, I will go for that.
ricardo: Ok, I promise you will have a lot of fun this summer.

Rafa: Buenos días a todos, soy Rafa y soy de restrepo. ¿De dónde vienen ustedes?
stiven: Hola. Soy stiven y vivo en Colombia. Usualmente vengo aquí a restrepo
cada verano.
Ricardo: Hola, soy ricardo y soy americano. Bienvenidas al campamento de
verano. Soy el Consejero General. Permítanme decirles que generalmente
comenzamos el día con una actividad musical.
Rafa: Me gusta eso porque canto y toco la batería.
ricardo: ¿Tienes una banda?
Rafa. Sí, tengo un grupo musical en restrepo. Supongo que los niños aquí también
tocan instrumentos.
ricardo: Sí, algunos de ellos sí. ¿Tocas algún instrumento, stiven?
stiven: No, yo sólo bailo.
ricardo: Perfecto. Entonces podemos tocar música y bailar con los campistas.
Ahora hablemos sobre las tardes, usualmente practicamos algunos deportes como
tenis, fútbol y béisbol.
Rafa: Genial. En mi país, nos encanta el fútbol.
stiven: En Colombia, rara vez jugamos béisbol, pero también nos gusta el fútbol.
ricardo: ¡Estupendo! Los niños generalmente eligen futbol. En la actualidad, el
futbol es muy popular aquí en los estados Unidos. Y en las noches, los campistas
construyen una fogata y cuentan historias de miedo con el personal de actividades
al aire libre. ¿Les gustan esas historias?
stiven: A mi sí.
Rafa: A mi no. Odio la oscuridad y las historias de fantasmas.
ricardo: No te preocupes. En ese caso, también tenemos un concurso de karaoke.
Rafa: Claro, prefiero esa opción.
ricardo: Ok, les prometo que se divertirán mucho este verano.
