EFECTOS DE LA ACUPUNTURA Y MOXIBUSTIÓN EN EL PUNTO E36 (ZUSANLI) SOBRE LA NO Y EL

NIVEL DE IL-II EN PERSONAS DE MEDIANA Y AVANZADA EDAD.

Estudio realizado por el Medical College de la Universidad de Yangzhou (China)

Se seleccionaron 42 personas con edades comprendidas entre 55-70 años y se les realizó
acupuntura caliente en el punto E36 (Zusanli). Antes y después de la acupuntura se les
realizaron análisis de los niveles de NO e IL-II en sangre periférica. Los resultados mostraron
que los niveles de ambos parámetros subían notablemente después de la acupuntura caliente.
La IL-II es una citocina importante en la función inmunoreguladora. Esta citocina estimula la
producción de anticuerpos. Se utiliza para el tratamiento del cáncer y las enfermedades
infecciosas y como agente inmune para reforzar la respuesta inmune protectora del organismo.
La NO regula el flujo sanguíneo de los tejidos locales y la presión sanguínea. La NO puede
eliminar los patógenos intracelulares y frenar la replicación vírica. Tiene efectos
bacterioestáticos y antitumorales. Además influye en muchas actividades nerviosas.

El estudio revela claramente que los contenidos de NO e IL-II en personas de avanzada edad
son inferiores a los que muestran las personas jóvenes. El incremento de ambos parámetros
demuestra que la acupuntura y la moxibustión en el E36 regula el sistema inmune, refuerza la
capacidad de resistencia, retrasa el envejecimiento, mejora la circulación sanguínea y regula la
presión sanguínea. Anteriores estudios había igualmente demostrado que la aplicación externa
de NO e IL-II durante periodos prolongados de tiempo podía producir un efecto neurotóxico,
cosa que no sucede con la acupuntura y moxibustión aplicadas en el E36 pues no tiene efectos
secundarios.

La importancia del punto Zusanli en la preservación de la salud según los clásicos El Gran
Compendio de la Acupuntura y la Moxibustión (siglo XIII) enfatiza que conviene “moxar con
frecuencia el Zusanli y el Qihai (6VC) en personas jóvenes con un Qi débil”. El famoso médico
Ma Dan Yang abogó por practicar la acupuntura y moxibustión en Zusanli para aquellas
personas que han pasado de los 30 años. Hua Tuo apreciaba el punto para tratar los 5 estados
de agotamiento y los 7 estados de sobrecarga.

En el clásico Secretos de un oficial de Frontera constata que “cuando una persona sobrepasa la
edad de 30 años y no se moxa el Zusanli, entonces el Qi ascenderá y se precipitará hacia los

ZUSANLI 36E – quiere decir Tres distancias del pie Este punto es capaz de restituir las fuerzas
para poder caminar otros tres Li ZU, es pie, SAN es tres, LI la unidad de distancia Está ubicado
por debajo y por fuera de la tuberosidad anterior de la tibia, tres cun por debajo de xiyan 35 E
y un través de dedo lateral a la cresta tibial. Ver fig.1 Funciones: es el punto he mar Tierra del
canal de Estómago Zu yangming. El nombre de Punto mar tierra, significa punto mar del
alimento Tiene por funciones principales tonificar el Bazo y el Estómago, es fuente de Qi
( energía ) y sangre ( Xue), y puede dispersar la humedad.

Tiene importantes efectos clinicos que son: Tonificar el Qi Armonizar el Qi nutritivo y defensivo
Elevar el Qi Tonificar la sangre Dispersar la humedad Estabilizar la mente y las emociones
Regular el Qi del Estómago Regular el Intestino Regular la presión arterial Regular el pecho
Regular las rodillas Tiene también otras indicaciones Analgesia adicciones síndrome wei Voy a
describir cada uno de ellos:

TONIFICAR EL QI Es el qi del Bazo y del Estómago, es el Qi del cuerpo entero, ayuda a reforzar la
deficiencia , la debilidad ( en enfermedades oncologicas por ej) E 36 + IG 4 + B 6 Para tonificar
Qi y Sangre , son las funciones de maduración del E y de dispersar la humedad

Tiene también las funciones digestivas , Para aumentar el apetito podemos usar E 36 + V 20
( Shu de B )+ V 21 ( Shu de E ) + Ren 12 ( Mu de E) + B 3 + B 6 Para lograr perder peso o sea
disminuir el apetito ( en tratamientos para adelgazar) E 36 + B1+ B 2 + B 3 + Ren 12 Es uno de
los puntos mayores para reforzar el Qi xue en los cuadros de deficiencia.

Es el punto por excelencia para reforzar la raíz del qi del cielo posterior ( Bazo - Estomago) . Se
recomienda la moxibustión habitual cada 5 o 7 días para reforzar el qi correcto, y la resistencia

TONIFICAR EL QI DE PULMÓN: En los cuadros de deficiencia, se puede tratar la tos y la

bronquitis, para armonizar el Qi nutritivo y defensivo en las infecciones respiratorias
frecuentes: E 36 + P 9 + R 3 + V 13 + V 20 + V 23

TONIFICAR EL QI DE RIÑÓN Es el Qi de Riñón o Qi prenatal, y el post natal Bazo, Estómago y

Pulmón son las energías del alimento y el aire. En las enfermedades del Riñón : hay debilidad
lumbar, falta de voluntad. E 36 + R 3 + V 23 ( Shu de R ) + Ren 4 ( Mu de V )

TONIFICAR EL QI DE C Cuando hay una deficiencia en la energía de Corazón , puede haber

palpitaciones, mala circulación, puede estabilizar las emociones. E 36 + C 7 + V 15 ( Shu de C ) +
Ren 17 ( Mu de PC )
ARMONIZAR EL QI NUTRITIVO Y DEFENSIVO Si hay una invasión por viento frío, hay un “estado
tipo exceso” E 36 tonifica el Qi nutritivo - logra la transpiración, hace bajar la fiebre de la
influenza Si hay una “estado tipo deficiencia” E 36 el paciente que transpira mucho – para
disminuir la transpiración y expulsar el factor invasor Pueden ser alergias, cuadros febriles, las
disenterías agudas .

ELEVAR EL QI - LA ENERGÍA DEL BAZO Son los prolapsos por enfermedades largas y crónicas,
siempre hay deficiencias, los tratamientos prolongados, las cirugías pospuestas En el prolapso
de Estomago E 36 + IG 4 + Du 20 + Ren 12 En el prolapso de utero E 36 + IG 4 + Du 20 + Ren 4
En el prolapso rectal, las hemorroides E 36 + IG 4 + Du 1 + Du 20

TONIFICA LA SANGRE Para tonificar la sangre hay que tratar B + H + C En las amenorreas, las
palpitaciones, el insomnio, cansancio, los vértigos ,los dolores de cabeza, las uñas quebradizas,
