NORMAS PARA LA PUBLICACIÓN DE ARTÍCULOS EN LA REVISTA
La revista “Ciencia e Investigación” de la Facultad de
Farmacia y Bioquímica de la Universidad Nacional Mayor
Está dirigido a los profesionales y estudiantes de las Ciencias
Farmacéuticas, así como a aquellos otros profesionales de
las Ciencias de la Salud, interesados en las investigaciones
farmacéuticas y bioquímicas.
Criterios de elegibilidad de los artículos
El material propuesto debe cumplir con los siguientes
criterios:
•  Claridad y precisión en la escritura: La redacción del
documento debe proporcionar coherencia al contenido
y claridad al lector.
•  Originalidad: El documento debe ser original, es decir,
producido directamente por su autor, sin imitación de
otros documentos.
•  Objetividad y validez: Las afirmaciones presentadas
deben basarse en datos e información válida, con
sustento científico.
•  Importancia y aportes al conocimiento: El documento
hace aportes interesantes al estado del objeto de estudio.
La Presentación debe seguir las pautas siguientes:
1.- La revista “Ciencia e Investigación” recibe artículos de
estudios realizados por investigadores de la UNMSM y de
otros investigadores nacionales y extranjeros. Los artículos
pueden ser presentados en idioma español o inglés.
2.- Cada artículo debe presentarse con una página de inicio,
con el título.
3.- El artículo deberá ser entregado por triplicado (una de
las copias tendrá las fotografías originales), con la respectiva
versión electrónica, en formato Microsoft Word y los cuadros
en Excel.
4.- El texto del artículo debe ser presentado en fuente Times
New Roman, 12 puntos, doble espacio en papel Bond A4, con
máximo de 15 páginas incluyendo tablas y figuras.
5.-Los artículos originales seguirán el siguiente esquema
general:
a. Título. En letras mayúsculas y centradas. Será conciso
pero informativo, en español y en inglés, en no más de
doce palabras, fuente 16 y en negrita.
b. Nombre de autor (es) o firma de autoría según
parámetros internacionales. Se coloca el primer nombre,
inicial del 2° nombre; apellido paterno e inicial del
apellido materno.
c. Identificación o filiación institucional de los autores
en cada colaboración.
d. Resumen y Summary. En un solo párrafo en español y
en inglés. En no más de 250 palabras. En este se indicarán
antecedentes, propósito del estudio, procedimientos
básicos, hallazgos más importantes y principales
conclusiones.
e. Palabras clave: De 3 a 6 palabras respectivamente, que
ayuden a la clasificación del artículo.

f. Introducción. Expresa el propósito y justificación del
artículo y resume el fundamento lógico del estudio,
señalando los objetivos.
g. Material y Métodos. En la descripción de la metodología,
mencionar los materiales, motivo del estudio y especificar
la forma de selección suficiente que permitan reproducir
los resultados. Describir los métodos estadísticos que se
emplearon para analizar los resultados.
h. Resultados. Se presentan siguiendo una secuencia lógica
en tablas y figuras, las que se ordenarán con numeración
arábiga. No deberán repetirse en el texto los datos de
los cuadros y figuras. Las figuras (fotografías, gráficos,
mapas o diagramas) deben tener una leyenda explicativa
en la parte inferior; no deben tener una extensión mayor
a una pagina A4. En los cuadros el título se ubicará
en la parte superior, y debe respetarse las normas
internacionales en lo que se refiere a: Nomenclaturas,
símbolos y unidades de medida. Los nombres científicos
se escriben en letra cursiva.
i. Discusión. Explica el significado de los hallazgos y sus
limitaciones. Relaciona las observaciones con otros
estudios pertinentes.
j. Conclusiones. Mencionar las de mayor relevancia.
k. Referencias bibliográficas. Se deberá emplear el
Sistema Vancouver. Se numerarán las referencias
consecutivamente siguiendo el orden en que se
mencionan por primera vez en el texto. Las referencias
se identificarán en el texto mediante números arábigos
entre paréntesis y superíndice. Las citas de publicación
deben contener: Apellido paterno del autor, seguido de la
inicial del nombre, el título de la publicación, nombre de
la revista (de acuerdo a la lista de revistas indicadas en el
Index medicus), volumen de la revista, número, páginas
en las que aparece el artículo, el año de la publicación.
Ej: Jiménez C, Riaño D, Moreno E. Avances en trasplante
de órganos abdominales. Madrid: Ed. Acirbia; 2006. Las
citas de tesis deben tener el nombre del autor, título,
grado o título que se optó por la tesis, la Facultad, la
Universidad, la ciudad y año.
A la recepción del artículo científico, el Comité
Editorial comunicará al autor la fecha de recibido y,
posteriormente, previa evaluación se comunicará su
aceptación.

NORMS FOR THE PUBLICATION OF ARTICLES IN
THE JOURNAL
The journal “Science and Research” at the Faculty of
Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the National University of
San Marcos, publishes scientific communications in the field
of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences, original and
unpublished.
This aimed at professionals and students of
Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as those other professionals
of health sciences, interested in pharmaceutical and
biochemical research.
Criterions of eligibility of the articles
The material given consideration of the Publishing Committee it
must continue following criterion:
•  Clarity and precision in the writing: The writing of the
document must provide coherence to the content and
clarity to the reader.
•  Originality: The document must be original, that is to
say, produced directly by his author, without imitation
of other documents
•  Objectivity and validity: The statements submitted
must be based on valid data and information, with
scientific sustentation.
•  Importance and contributions to knowledge: The
document makes interesting contributions to the state
of the art the object of study.
The presentation should follow the following Rules:
1. The magazine “Science and Research” receives articles of
studies conducted by researchers at the UNMSM and other
national and foreign researchers. Articles may be submitted
in English or Spanish language.
2. Each article should be presented with a homepage,
including the research title.
3. The article must be delivered in triplicate (one of the
copies will have the original photographs), with respective
CD, with the text in Microsoft Word and Excel tables.
4. The text of the article must be submitted in letters Times
New Roman 12-point, double-spaced, A4 paper Bond, with
up to 15 pages including tables and figures.
5. The original articles will continue the following general
scheme:
a. Title. In capital letters and centered. Be concise but
informative, in Spanish and English, in not more than
twelve words, 16 and in bold font.
b. Name of author (s) or signature of authorship according
to international standards. Place the first name, initial
of middle name, last name, initial of mother’s maiden
name.
c. Identification or institutional affiliation of authors in
each collaboration.
d. Resumen and Summary. In a single paragraph in
Spanish and English. In no more than 250 words.
This stated background, purpose of the study, basic
procedures, major findings and main conclusions.

e. Key words: 3 to 6 words, respectively, to help classify
the article.
f. Introduction. Is the purpose and justification of the
article summarizes the rationale of the study, saying the
targets.
g. Material and Methods. The description of the
methodology, the materials mentioned, reason for study
and specify the form of adequate selection of which
reflect the results. Describe statistical methods that
were used to analyze the results.
h. Results. Are presented in logical sequence in tables and
figures, which are pronounced with Arabic numerals.
Not be repeated in the text data in tables and figures.
Figures (photographs, graphs, maps or diagrams) should
be a legend at the bottom, not to have an extension
greater than one A4 page. In the tables the title will
be located at the top, and should respect international
standards in regard to: Nomenclature, symbols and.
Scientific names are written in italics.
i. Discussion. Explain the meaning of the findings and
limitations. Relate the observations to other relevant
studies.
j. Conclusions. Discuss the most important
k. References. It must use the Vancouver system.
References should be numbered consecutively following
the order they are first mentioned in the text. References
are identified in the text by Arabic numerals in
parentheses and superscript. Quotations of publication
must contain: author’s paternal surname, followed by
the initial of the name, title of publication, name of
the magazine (according to the list of journals listed in
Index Medicus), volume magazine, issue, pages where
the article appears, the year of publication
Eg. Jimenez C, Riaño D, Moreno E.Advances in
abdominal organ transplantation. Madrid: Ed Acirbia,
2006. Quotations from theses must have the name of
the author, title, degree or title that was chosen for the
thesis, the Faculty, the University, the city and year.
Upon receipt of the scientific paper, the Editorial
Committee shall inform the author date of receipt
and then be communicated after evaluation of their
acceptance.
