RESUMEN
SUMMARY
At presentInvestors in People (iiP) is the standard for people management most pres-
tigious worldwide. its aim is to achieve excellence through human capital management in
the organization, meeting the strategic and personal development goals. it is noteworthy
that iiP can be applied regardless of the size of the organization. the standard is an impor-
tant tool to encourage organizational commitment, crucial to a successful talent manage-
ment. iiP accredits organizations sustainability, optimism and future profitability. the key
issue of the standard goes around five management areas: strategic Planning, effective
management, culture and communication, Personal development and Performance
management, supported by 10 indicators with 39 evidences that make up the standard.
this article presents the adequacy to the five management practices in different companies
from different sectors and size. Also we present an overview of the new iiP standard that
will be released in February 2016 (sixth generation).
